Hi im new to this but I dived in and brought a skyray king just wondered can I use unprotected cells if I use a good charger I have some Panasonic ncr 3100 if icant what is the reason will it harm the torch or the cells
With that light you should be fine with those batteries, asumming you use a decent charger. What charger are you using?
Ah found it lol its trust fire charger TR OO3P4 the torch is the 4 cell model

I think this post (and the next in that thread) will answer your question:
You can use them and the King should have a low voltage shut off at 2,5-2,6 (don’t have a King and couldn’t check it, but 2,5-2,6 would be extremly low - I would not discharge my batteries to such a low level).
I have the same charger and it works fine for me (need a long time for charging, but I have 5 different chargers, so it doesn’t matter - if I need a faster one I use some of the others).
Thanks for the info it does clarify it for me your right about the charger thought mine was a dud but slow is good and the charge is very accurate across the 4 bays
