Imho dual channels are enought for Ni-Mh
If PC Red Leds existed in 3535 there would be greater compatibility, and the user’s choice of which LED to use.
Instead of reserving a special channel

14500 or 18350 format with a “screw in” battery adaptor to allow a remote battery carrier to be used…

I’ve parts for such a light (ish) in my box of parts, just haven’t had time to build it. Biggest headache I currently have is how to make the dummy cell adaptor in such a way that the positive and negative terminals can supply power…

True. The light had to be fully equipped with “Cree XE-G”.

What would be more important for a small headlight as a second channel, flood light for “beam ramping” or red light ?.

Interesting. Would perhaps require a turned plastic part instead of a dummy-cell ( with a bypassing wire for the positive contact ) that gets screwed into the tailcap instead of the bottom-pcb. Negative could make contact to the housing, when screwing in beneath the plastic part.

Sometimes at the workplace, my hands are dirty or covered in oil…
I thought it would be nice if the button was plastic or made of another material that would be resistant to grease or fuel oil and so on…

I use an Olight headlamp equipped with an ultrasonic detector for that very purpose. All I have to do is wave my hand in front of the light to turn it on/off. If I double-wave, it changes from high to low mode. Also has a flip-up filter to go from flood to spot beam. Its easily the most versatile compact headlamp Ive used for short to medium distance illumination. Not sure why this isnt a common trend.

Many of my Sofirns have silicone buttons, that would probably be resistant enough. Especially if they include an extra cover in the box.

Our new headlamp HS21 can also change the brightness through waving :sunglasses:

Any more info or a picture on it, please? What battery will it use?

about the picture you can check the new post

Dear Sofirn,
Why are you no longer selling HS05? Why are there no new editions of it? Whether in colours or driver editions?

3 Thanks

not enough sales apparently. I’d have liked to buy one too, but alas.
