Is it actually a buck driver for the main emitter? I’ve seen this stated in a few places. Very possible that its using one of the new 3V xhp70 emitters but I’d expect it would use a more common 6V with boost driver instead. Either way this light looks pretty decent, I might pick one up she they go on sale!

Any idea how accessible the main emitter is for swaps?

Yeah, I was also wondering whether it’s really a buck driver and not boost. So I opened it up and measured it. It’s a 6V boost driver. Will update my review accordingly.

Very easy. Just unscrew the bezel, pop out the reflector, done. There appears to be another board soldered to the MCPCB, but it looks like it can be desoldered from the front.
