Nice, Goin to switch them out now. I can’t wait.

It’s the 4 tail screws that give a benefit. They are button head M2.5 x 5mm. Bypassing the springs give the most benefit, maybe 300 more lumen. It will be drawing about 20A on good high drain cells.

Where would you buy those screws? Can’t find button head brass on Ali.

I think people were buying them on ebay. This was a year ago when the Q8 first came out so my memory is fuzzy. You might check the Q8 modding thread.

Brass replacement screws for the blf q8

Hi was reading that folks were replacing the standard screws out for brass screws and in doing so getting a increase in lumes. Does any one know wee I might get the screws or what size they are .mine is in the post so I can’t check. Oh and also can a little bit of normal multi purpose oil be used on the tread of the torch head or does it have to be speachiel grease? Thanks
