【Sofirn SC13 Copper update】Launching Soon !!

Removing the clip groove made it look a lot nicer. Clip attachment would look nicer if it was centered with the switch, but as it is it’s alright. That’s a very beautiful design. That brass will look incredible when aged.

Not sure if mentioned already, but could we have a stonewashed brass/copper options?

So, do you prefer brass or copper?

The first picture is copper, stone washed brass may be considered later

I like the screwed clip and the position of it, that’s where I have my clip on the Alu Version anyways!
Please no raised ring around the switch, that feels terrible while using the light and locking it electronically is easy!

The sft-40 3000k definitely gets my vote for the copper version! Warm white, copper, balanced beam, that would be a dream EDC.

I think a nice stonewashed brass would look pretty neat. As it patinas it’ll add character. Any way to get rid of the ribbing, or replace it with a lighter, broader scalloping so it looks more like a greco roman column or pedestal?

I prefer brass but i would get both copper and brass if available.

I believe that at this point the design is pretty much finished, but in case it’s not finished yet, i would like to suggest a different clip attachment for it.

I don’t know how to call this clip design (captive?) but to my eyes it will make for an even cleaner design, because there wouldn’t be any holes in the head of the flashlight, nor any screws to strip or break, and you could have one less machining step from the process.

I completely agree with you.

I like copper flashlight and have many copper ones, and of course, I’m very interested in this copper SC13, but my concern is the clip you mentioned. Copper is relatively soft metal, and weak for scratch. So, my copper flashlights have no clip unless it is already attached when purchased.

Also, the clip of copper SC13 seems to have screw clip. I’m afraid the screw holes can last long.

I prefer the clip like in your photo (Noctigon ?).

I like this idea. Can you please do a 5000K Sft-40 LED or a Cree XP-L in 5000K? If you can source it, how about a sft-42r? Also, if you can do an aged copper (patina) or broze that would be awesome.

Barry has updated the original post. Now the plan is to offer two emitter options: SFT40 3000K/5000K.

Oh nice!

The only winning solutions is to offer multiple emitter options like Emisar. Pople like options.

Is this proposed version programmed with Anduril or the standard SC13 UI ? I have no preference aside from Anduril providing lower “moonlight” levels.
I have exactly ONE Copper light, a Wurkkos TS10 V1. It’s one of the most used torches in my inventory. I like the heft and the convenience of being able to program a low ramp level. I have a SC13 and like it, but it lacks the versatility of the TS10’s Anduril 2 firmware. A copper version SC13’A’ would draw my attention.

Additionally, what is the projected price point of this new copper offering (in US dollars) if you can share it?

Thank you, Barry, for consistetly reaching out to elicit feedback from the flashlight “enthusiast” crowd. :+1:

Barry are you able to confirm that this light will have a buck driver AND Anduril? This would this be your first light with both since the SP10?

Yes, it will use buck driver & Anduril UI.

3 Thanks

Anduril. The price has not been determined yet. We are currently making samples. Once the samples are out, we should be able to estimate the price.

What you said is difficult to achieve. :persevere:

The clips and screws are made of stainless steel, which makes it easy for everyone to disassemble and install different clips, giving Enthusiasts greater freedom.

Great Barry, I look forward to getting one!
