Sofirn SC21 mini

2 week electronic lockout battery drain test-
Nov 14 battery voltage (freshy charged) 4.145V
Nov 28 battery voltage 4.097V.
My light is not draining the battery when in electronic lockout.

I was able to remove the magnet in my SC21.

  • I removed the spring by compressing the triangle so I could lift it out.
  • The magnet was lightly glued in place, but there was a small gap around the edges of its cavity. I inserted a small screwdriver into this gap and then lightly hammered the back of the screwdriver with the side of a pliers.
  • This worked quite well. The hammering broke the glue and shifted the magnet sideways in the cavity. The magnet fell right out after that.

What is that SC21 Pro mini? Very strange looking listing in AE store.

Pro = Anduril 2.0

good find :+1:

Yes I know that but description is wrong led emitter choices are black, green and blue and body color is 5000k  I thinking to buy SC10 Pro but if that’s SC21 have the same electronics I maybe will buy SC21 Pro, also my current EDC is SC21.

I am asking myself the same questions

the advantage of SP10 Pro is that it is the only Anduril light that works with AA batteries, and it is thinner than SC21 Pro

the advantage of the SC21 Pro is that it is the smallest Anduril light plus has built in Charging and battery indicator light on the switch, and it is shorter than SP10 Pro.

Im leaning towards SC21 Pro, because of charging convenience as a gift light to a muggle (thats my excuse anyway). My prepurchase consideration is that Im not sure yet if it has the same low firefly modes as the SP10 Pro, which are the lowest Ive ever seen in an Anduril light.

In SC21Pro we will lose the big advantage of SC21 in that smaller size. It’s use buck driver which is important for that small battery to have longer running times. Also I think the new version of SC21 will be just another simple FET based driver without stabilization.

Is the ’pro still gonna be egg-weight, or heavier?

I ordered one and can do some non destructive tests once it arrives. But I probably won’t pop the driver out, at least not on day 1.

You need to make just ruuning graph with ceilingbounce or similar app and we can view if is there some sort of output stabilization or just FET.

I always thought Anduril was a FET driver – barring the SP10Pro.
As for SC21 having a buck driver, I’m surprised.

I’ll have to run some tests, maybe take it apart.

Any idea if you can save runtime graphs with ceilingbounce? I can specify an output name, but nothing is outputted. Can always take a screenshot, but then the graph will be low resolution. Or does it save a CSV somewhere?

Edit: nevermind, found it. It’s on the SD card, it just doesn’t show up with the normal photos/pictures.

I really like ceilingbounce app but it doesn’t work properly on my new Mi 11i phone. I think there is problem with Android 12 or high resolution light sensor. So for that I used my old phone LG V30 to take runtime graphs.

me too :-). I picked green…

Personally, I just want Sofirn to make a buck+FET driver.

Is that too much to ask?

The red one is much better :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh No! I feel a FOMO attack coming on. LOL,

what was I thinking… :person_facepalming:
I dont know what to do next

maybe buy a red SP10 Pro, since all the Good Green ones are sold out already…

On a more ‘serious’ note: got a shipping notification this morning. Much earlier than expected, considering it explicitly states 15 days. Pleasant surprise!

if someone gets the red version please post pics when u get it, curios how it looks.

Will do! Or maybe someone else get his/hers red SC21 before and posts pics, the shipping of my SP10 pro was a bit of disaster once the package got to EU. Took much longer than usual, but hopefully that was a one-off.
