Not me. Finding the right dive flashlight depends on your use case. Here are some criteria for dive flashlights:
Ease of Use
Comfort/Security of Grip or Mount
Beam Size and Shape
Light Output
Power Levels
Use as a Primary Light
The Sofirn SD05 is easy to use, wide beam, bright and you can use it as an EDC when not in the water. Some prefer no USB charging port built in because they don't trust the little silicone/rubber cover.
SIZE. Beam, wise, Almost a clone of the Imalent DN35.
Apart from the 2200 against 2550 high.
Rotary via click switches. and 21000 over the 26650 cells.
If it half as good it’ll be a good light.
I have a 3 led Divers light 2 x 26650 cells.
Magnetic On/OFF only sw Magic,
Great all weather torch.
They tend to be both better made and better proofing than std ones.
Hey Lightbringer, thanks for the recommendation. My SD05 arrived today. It's still mid afternoon here but it certainly seems bright. I like the ring control.
But mostly, the size and appearance of the light blow me away. It's smaller than a C8 and looks to be more pocketable. Fit and finish are top notch to my eye and fingers.
This is a nifty light. If it came in purple, red or blue I'd buy some more.
