solarforce t1 mod

Hey everybody,

This is my first post out of the introduction area. If anything is wacky please let me know

Today’s project was the solarforce t1. This light is great stock, but…… anyway I went ahead and transfered the parts from a nanjg 105c driver over to a blf 20 dd oshpark board and replaced the xml with a xml2 u3 from mtnelectronics. I also moded the springs for less resistance. I am camping so I had to use a butane soldering iron.

Work bench

Very easy to align led with the plastic insert

Finished!

you and flashpilot have a lot in common.

Reference here

That’s a really interesting LED reflow hot plate you have there in the background.

Looks like some pretty clean work, considering you’re out in the sticks.

What bike is that in the background of the first pic?

Yamaha maybe? Some people do some odd stuff out in the bush camping. Most people I know use lights not build drivers and mod lights. Nice effort.

Kawasaki klx 125.

What an activity on camping, very neat and clean mod

Looking great! What FET did you use? I'm not into bikes, but I like the small vice in the first pic.

The part number for the fet at digikey is 785-1481-1-ND. The vice is a palmgren, and I use it all the time. Also, I’ve read a lot of your posts, and they have been very helpful.

Nice work.

Nicely done!! at a campground no less

I look forward to seeing more of your work

Awesome…field mod, excellent!
