As I said, the 219B swap in my other SC64c was nerve-wracking. ZebraLight master modder Bob_McBob was kind enough to offer me some guidance.
Besides the light being difficult to open, the LED is mounted directly to the double-sided driver board. I used a hot-air station with a tiny nozzle made of aluminum foil to concentrate the heat around the LED.
I was very surprised to have opened, swapped, and reassembled the light without damaging anything. Bob_McBob has had a couple drivers lose a component on the bottom side due to being stuck to the potting compound.
Here’s a photo of my swapped SC64c right after reinstalling the driver board. To say I was excited would be quite an understatement.
