That bezel desperately needs finishing work.
It surely does.
Also one HUGE drawback of DT8 is there is no O-ring or any waterproofing under the bezel. Nothing. Some simple sprays of water and voila there’s dew and drops inside the optics.
If I can figure out how to solve this (unlikely, given it’s a square and a pretty tight gap) DT8 would truly be my no-brainer go-to EDC light under all circumstances. If not, I may just have to stick to KR4 for rainy days.

You could use hight temperature resistant silicone used for ovens. It’s not too expensive and you can find it at the hardware store.
How to apply it is a different story.
You could just cake it on, screw it down and wipe the excess off but I don’t know if you could take it apart afterwards lol.
Maybe a thin layer on the edge of the bezel, let it dry and reassemble it so it acts like a custom O-ring.
