TK has posted about the thermal mgt improvements w/graphs, etc., forgot where though - probably one of the firmware threads. I know it’s much improved, just dunno how much it backs off the aggressive drops. These “super” lights are just so over the top with heat/mass and heat/surface area, there’s not much that can be done. I know the newer better thermal mgt regulates it better, so after the initial drops the output is much more smoother and levels off, as opposed to ups and downs. All I know is the Anduril version after December, maybe as late as March and forward, have the improvements.

Sorry to post so many times in a row… I’ve been trying to fix the code for ADC, voltage, and thermal regulation for months now, and I finally got it working well. 0-8-15 User motivated a lot of this, since he did a lot of work to fix thermal regulation after I half-broke it in the mid-November update. (it worked, but was too slow and allowed high-power lights to get pretty hot) So he did a bunch of experiments and coding to make it respond better. He used 2560X oversampling with a new thermal a…

Toykeeper tested a bunch of different lights there. The performance of the new code looks good across a wide range of output/mass ratios.

I’d like to upgrade my ROT66 when I have time, as it’s been my observation that light also steps down long before it gets hot.

Sofirn, I would have three questions to ask you:
Could you please add stock of the SP36 Anduril driver?
Would you sell a bare Q8 XHP50 MCPCB (without leds)?
Is the blue color the same as the old one or is it a new shade?

1. Yes, we will add stock of the SP36 Anduril driver;
2. We want to sell XHP50 MCPCB, but not now, maybe early August
3. The blue now is deeper than the old one. But it is hard to say how much deeper.

Just saw a SC31 PRO listed on sofirnlight.

I saw it, too! I was about to order it, but not sure if it’s possible to do an emitter swap… so I held off. Sofirn usually glues the bezels.
