Just as an FYI- flaring out the tip of an UltraTac A3 isn’t hard to do. The metal is super thin. So much so if you drop it on concrete, I highly doubt the chassis would survive.
I know what you are saying there. :person_facepalming:
I nearly ruined my Jaxman e2l before I even got it put together by dropping it on my shop floor w/o the bezel installed.
Got a nice little ding in the ano, and had a hard time getting the bezel back in after I dropped it. Super thin right there. Had there been a battery in it I dont think it would have survived due to the extra weight. Glad the bezel is stainless, or I would be worried about that light surviving any clumsiness.
So I’m not the only clumsy one here? Good to know and makes me feel a little better. I remember getting my new RMM Supfire M6, walking out of my workroom, and the flashlight just feel out of my hands onto the concrete basement floor. Put a nice ding in the tailcap. Still worked fine, but got mad at myself. I’ve learned over the years to put on lanyards and use them just in case.
Happens to all of us at some point I am sure.
Hmm, might make for a good story time type of thread……
