Stupid question about 18350 tube and triple LED

I noticed that the triple LED needs a spacer. I was wondering If there was a way that I could shorten it by not using the spacer and using a 18350 tube for a 18650 light. From what I read the dimensions of a 18350 are 35mm in length, the size of a 18650 is 65mm, and the spacer is 7mm or so, but it looks a bit longer, therefore leaving 23mm. Could it possibly fit with the spring compression or with a possibly shorter 18650? I don’t plan to drive the light very hard, so heat shouldn’t be an issue.

Just checking if anyone might have a good idea to make a smaller EDC light… :slight_smile:

No, you can not do so.

If I remember right a member of this forum built a triple Convoy S2+ without spacer but with short tube and a 18500 cell or so.
