Supbeam X40 - Infinitely Variable to @3K lms

+1

NO, contrary to manufacturer’s specs, it’s not brighter than my TN30. But I can only do a visual estimate.

Thanks for your info and pictures! 8)

BLF is bleeding edge!! LOL :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you have any thoughts yet on the charger or where it takes the batteries? How does the light behave on less than 4 cells?

Determined to keep one (and only one! :frowning: ) multi-emitter but want to try this one before thinning the herd….

Hello,

just had a look at the Supbeam homepage and found they published how they tested the output.

These product would be the used light meter and sphere. Can anyone of you determine how accurate they are ?

Thanks - Rob.

Just wanted to say that I received a retail one (Nr34) today and a holster and instructions are included now.

It’s a brilliant light in my opinion, but it’s also the first big one I bought, so what do I know.

Yes, it is a great light and I have a dozen 3-xml emitter lights.

To Supbeam’s credit, they sent me a pdf file to me with instructions. No holster, though. I’m curious to see how the holster looks. Can you post some pics of it in the holster??

Thanks!

They must have changed this. You CAN look at the emitters on low, similar to the lowest level on the TN31.

A really low low, is a big plus for me.

I am REALLY liking the colored charge-state indicator light; really hoping you never have to take the batteries out of this unless you’re feelin’ fiddly!

Going to be a fight between this and my TM15! I love my TM15 but have told myself I’m just keeping one multi-emitter.
Brightness is very similar to my TM15. 8)
ADVANTAGE: X40. The OSTS TN31 head is interchangeable with the X40 head, meaning I could use the X40s charger with the OSTS TN31 head and charge from the car or a wall plug.
