Test/Review of Charger LiitoKala Engineer Lii-500

My Liitokala Lii-500S broke, this model was trash. I Therefore started up the old Lii-500 that has been out of operation for 2 years, stored in the original box. While now charging with the old Lii-500, I can notice a strange nasty smell from it. Does anyone here know what this can be? Is my old Lii-500 unsafe to use?

Unless you stored it unprotected inside some nasty ammunition dump, in or around some nasty chemicals or in any other nasty place, there's absolutely no reason for the device to be unsafe to use. ;-)

Here in Florida high humidity is a real problem with electronics; if your device was stored in that environment it could just be mold.
Take it apart and spray it with electronics cleaner.

Could it be a cap failing? They smell really nasty with they leak or vent.

Hi. I know this is a old review, but I need part number of U4 which was burnt. Would you write the number on it, in these pictures it is not readable. Thanks.

U4 has marking AL578 but I cannot find what it is. Possibly some USB voltage converter.

Thank you, I will search.

Could you repair your Lii-500? I have same problem, U4 burnt.

Exact code maybe FP6291 , but I could not find it in any market.
