In any case, it seems that by modding the miller with one of these nice tiny voltmeters can ameliorate very much the problem by i) eating most of the trickling charge and ii) allowing direct monitoring of the battery volts (if the voltmeter is previously well calibrated).

Here’s a mod from a couple of years ago.

I have MP1 and like it, but this could be used also as a power supply... so does anybody have it?
