Texas Avenger "TA" Driver series - Triple channel + Bistro or Narsil + Clicky or E-switch - The Ultimate open source driver!

I don’t understand, I just downloaded the same file and it is fine?

Have you tried re-downloading it and checking it?

Texas_Ace, I’m afraid you’re missing the point. Whether or not steel_1024 got the right file is irrelevant if OSH Park is printing the drivers with an error like this. Maybe somebody needs to talk to OSH Park support and try to figure out what went wrong on their side.

Thats what I am trying to figure out, where did that wrong mask come from? If that is actually how the mask is in one of the driver then that is not correct (I got it mixed up with the paste layer at first).

Oshpark very well could have made a mistake, it has happened before with the same files that many others ordered without an issue. That doesn’t explain where the bad mask file came from though.

Message from OSH Park:

Wait for re-sending to see if there is the same problem?

It would seem so, I am still curious where that bad mask file came from though, if that is in one of the drivers I would like to fix it.

received today the parts for the 9 drivers

I also got 3 sideswitches that have 2 positions you can push em like in a digital camera for another project

I flashed TK’s tripledown version of bistro. Hooked the driver up to 1x XM-L2 for testing. Got 100% only, checked for continuity between LED- and GND and yup, there was continuity.

Took a look at an empty board and found a spot where I thought the problem most likely would be and I was spot on (doesn’t happen too often to me that I find the culprit at first glance, troubleshooting drivers can be much more frustrating than this at times).

I removed the AMC 7135-6 and the short between LED- and GND was gone. So for anyone having similar issues, that’s a spot to look out for. If solder wets the ground tab of this 7135 and gets to the vias underneath it you have a short between LED- and GND.

For the first time, try flashing the firmware.
ATtiny25 for TA_Bistro

Did i succeed?

There is a warning message:
“can not set sck period…………”, Others show 100%

I still remember some DOS command.

yeah it always says that, no problems so far

Where did you get the sir800dp’s from ?

thanks

Ordered them from Digikey here in Germany

Thank you.

I got today the 17mm one working with Texas Bistro

No problem in configuring like I want it

Next is one with Narsil and momentary

Is it possible to add an indicator LED in Narsil triple or is it blocked by third PWM channel?

Led indicator works ok , it must be connected in pin #7 of the MCU .

but mcu pin 7 is already connected to R1 and R2
I connect LED with its resistor to pin 7 between those resistors?

Tom has been doing a lot of changes to narsil so not sure how it works right now but with one version he was working on R1/R2 were not needed if used in a 1S setup and an indicator LED could be connected to the R1/R2 pads as needed to use for an indicator LED.

If used in a 2S setup or the older firmware that needs the voltage divider then you have to pick between LVP or an indicator.

Anyone else having this issue with Atmel Studio 7 ?

When i select properties , i can’t enter them .

Trying to compile Narsil Triple v1.3 with this change , for an SRK driver . :

Hi!
If I can buy ATTiny85 cheaper than 25 will it good without any problem for Avenger bistro firmware? So I know that it has bigger memori and a little bigger size. But is there anything in the firmware which depend on type or just cant use smaller and I can use bigger on without problem?
Thx

Tiny85 works perfectly fine if you bend the pins so it will fit on the pads. You just have to change the flash command to the tiny85.

Great! Thx!
