I’m still trying to imagine what to compare the gt70 with because I don’t want to mod it just leave it as is and best I can tell from the video on page 1 at the beginning where he compares the gt and the gt70 is that the gt70 is the fully modded with sliced dome and mosfet driver for nearly 9000 lumens… is that right? Cause I want what he was showing in the first 30sec of the video.
Those appear to have protection circuitry. I’m guessing 10A circuits. They should do okay if you use all 8. With just 4 you might trip the protection circuitry, it’s hard to say.
Even with 8, you will not get the max output.
I asked him what exact version he was using at 20 secs. I’ll report back when he answers.
Keep in mind these lights should not get as high as 9000 lumen. We are calling it 7500 lumen. Slicing the dome off reduces output by maybe 1000 lumen.
I agree, banning them at the least, but releasing their screen name so others won’t deal with them in the future would also be a good option.
Still haven’t received anything from Lumintop…

Cheers mate, I signed up before the emails went out but it was only a few days prior. I made it onto the last awesome chart update before all hell broke loose and people randomly started getting notifications and coupons weren’t working etc.
Either way, the order was successful. Hopefully the bags and batteries are in by the time they have the NW LEDs as I’ll probably grab one of those too!
Not sure how I stumbled upon this but thanks for all the top shelf work on this collaboration, people!! Like a lot of others, I was on the fence about the original GT but never felt the overall need for it in the end…I know, I know, I don’t need this either but damn I just couldn’t resist this time round. Here’s hoping they break even and then some on this one.
So it appears by the lack of inventory that Lumintop does not have anymore caps and bags. And since it specifically says that they will not ship them separately, people are not going to be able to get them, unless they change their position. You would figure that they would have them stockpiled to at least the amount that the BLFG had indicated which is 268 lights.
T/A, if you have heard anything, please advise. I have been holding off from ordering to meet the requirement of having everything ordered all at once.

I think it means that their lights won’t be shipped out until the bag and caps are back in stock so that the order is complete.
I haven’t heard anything from Neal, but I thought he and Martin we’re still offering the bags and caps separately.

Ok, I got a minor update on the bags and caps. Basically they will not be available with the group buy BUT they will ship them separately later once they are in stock. So watch for these later.
The batteries can only be shipped with the lights and they will be listing them on the website before long. If you want them you will need to place an order for them quickly once they are available.
This will cause your order to be held until the batteries are in stock and they will then ship with the Giggle Monster.
The batteries will be 30Q’s and the price is not set yet but somewhere between $40-50, towards the upper end of that is what I am getting the feeling of.
In stock form without de-doming green should not be an issue, the 1A tint should fall under the BBL and thus be on the rosy side instead of the green.
If you de-dome it then it will have a pretty high likely hood of some green hue in the tint. This has been standard with most LED’s since they started being de-domed.
I personally run mine with the dome on for this reason.

Just sold my GT to guy at work… But have to buy the GT70 from home due to PayPal pw…
He said it was the one with the MOSFET driver and the sliced off dome.
So if you leave the dome on, the hotspot will be a little bigger and you loose some throw distance.

I’m at my wit’s end.
I paid for the BLF GT in April, and I still don’t have all the parts. I don’t know where to post this, either, but some people suggested I post here.
I am missing an endcap so batteries just fall out. I know the light works, but I can’t do much with it unless I hold or tape the batteries in.
Neal won’t respond to me, and Lumintop said they shipped an endcap 2 months ago. It never arrived and they won’t even respond to confirm they have the correct address for me. They sent me a tracking number but it has never had any information tied to it (no address, no updates, I don’t even think it made it to the USA). The last email they sent me took them two weeks to reply, and all they said was they would send another one. Didn’t bother to confirm my address. Didn’t give me another tracking number.
I tried to cancel my payment through PayPal, but they told me to ship back to China and gave me a bad address that I couldn’t ship to. Shipping to that city would be ~$70-150 anyway, which almost makes it not worth it. I was on hold almost 4 hours the other day and wasn’t able to get anyone on the phone.
I was told that there are three Lumintop users here that might be able to help me. Anyone have any ideas? I just need an endcap/tailcap.
I will pass this onto Lumintop, Now that they have a new batch of lights hopefully they would have a spare tailcap to send.
