I prefer the domed version myself, I don’t like the tint shift when it is dedomed.
After a couple of weeks with my GT70, I can say that I’m 99% happy with this monster. The minus 1% is due to the lanyard holes do not line up. Not the end of the world. It is heavy and I need to get a shoulder strap for it. Any recommendations?
You do know that the tail lanyard hole is on a ring that can rotate, although somewhat stiff?
Have not yet received email with code to allow ordering of NW GT for which I signed up. What should I do? Thanks.
The tailcap should spin to allow the holes to line up. A few said that there was a burr on it that needed to be cleaned off. You can remove it from the inside with a pair of needle nose pliers. the center section unscrews from the outside.
Mine was in the spambox.
Thanks TA for the nearly instantaneous response. NW+accessories successfully ordered. Now the most difficult aspect, waiting!
There is a full breakdown of the tailcap with pictures in this link. Unfortunately, I can’t copy the post here.

Good job, I knew that existed but had no idea where to start looking for it.

Hmmmm…. that is strange. It worked for me. The Code knocked $20 off the price of the carriers…… making them $28 for a set of two.
Oh yeah, it seems they are just sold in pairs… no singles.
Worked fine for me too, I think that’s an excellent price for a pair a carriers, even if the are in fact different than the ones in the original GT.
What’s the purpose of a spare set of carriers?
Just use it as a spare carriers, or in the future, some machine shop will make a coupler which you can run 12 cells.

Vinh at Skylumen already has adapters available.

- There. Is. nothing. more. frustrating, than having lumintop keep sending me emails to ” try the link again” on their website, but every time it does NOT work. I can not get the add to cart to work or the buy it now to work. at all. I tried two computers, and two different browsers. is there a trick to this?

Hmmm, is the Canadian government tampering with your internet access? Lol
So the website loads up fine? (I guess that’s the problem)
Can you choose the item you want to buy? If so, do the light blue buttons turn dark blue?
just what I noticed in the GT mini and also seen on the GT conversion kit
Fake Atmel MCU from some chineese distributor
the original BLF GT driver had the orighinal Atmel chips, but someone decided to safe 30 cents or so and sourced fakes
GT mini vs original GT XHP35
it also uses a voltage divider to detect battery voltage, so likely code changes needed to get it work so it cant be just a mistake ordering from wrong source

You are having a very strange issue. It works just fine for me.
Firstly I would clear all cache and cookies.
Next try starting your browser with add-on’s disabled (in firefox it is in the help menu).
If that doesn’t work then it would seem to be something with your ISP or DNS settings would be my next guess.
Try flushing your DNS by running :
ipconfig /flushdns
from the windows command prompt.
If that still doesn’t work do you have access to any other internet providers at work, friends house, library ect?
Can you access the plain lumintop site? : http://www.lumintoponline.com/

The website loads slow, and when it loads i can not select anything or add anything. (the buttons stay grayed out) here is their website as seen in the photo below. (just a blank page with no images or script) I tried two different computers and different browsers, ( chrome & firefox) nothing works.

Lumintop is selling these with fake ( or knock-off) chips instead of the real Atmel chips?

My guess from working with china is not that they so much tried to save a little money but that the supplier sold them fakes as the real thing. China companies rip off other china companies just as readily as anyone else.

Tried two different computers, two different browsers, and two different ISP connections. its near impossible for them all to have the same exact issue. See my post above #1778.

That does look like some kind of local issue, could be your ISP’s local cache is the problem or who knows what. It is very strange you are the only one reporting the issue though.
And for the record, the lights will not be shipping for at least a weeks, most likely 2 weeks, so there is no major rush.
I would try the things I listed above and see what happens.

I highly doubt that they know they are fake, unlike some manufactures lumintop has never complained about the cost of components for their lights, they will simply pay what is needed to get what is needed to make it work. Except in cases where they simply can not source the components at all.
They appear to work fine though, so it is possible that they are “real” but made “off-the-record” which is another common Chinese trick when making products for overseas companies. I am not going to speculate as long as they do the job though.
