the newest craziness 9x XM-L U2

The "problem" I see is the throw is not apparently huge for that power consumption, and I feel a big part of it is not usable for flood either, with much less lumen output you get a more than usable light dimmer but enough.

I would like to see a light with 3-5 XM-L with deep and not very big in diameter, it might be a better compromise between flood and throw (at least in my head).

Exactly what I was thinking as I was reading this. I like bright torches, but this is getting into the league of having to wear a welding helmet so you can use it and not damage your eyes!

“I wear my sunglasses at night, so I can, so I can,” turn on my torch without going blind!

Awesome lights though :open_mouth:

Hopefully this’d be more affordable, 5 XML mega close together. One for throw the rest for flood 3500 lumen high

I actually have the 360CSM Flydragon. Wall of light with big flood. It does have some throw however it is visually lost due to the area lighting affect. Yoy can run it for the life of the batteries- it doesn’t get too hot. Excellent build quaility- not a cheapie at all- professional finish. Biggest draw-back- leave the batteries in, it will drain them in less than 2 days! I think it will be the same with these multi emitters, and they will all be big flood lights. And heavy!

$400? Dang that’s out of my league

Just wait until these kind of lights are available as budget brand :d

Its 50 bucks cheaper at HKE.

Awesome, I love your design-built, about 10 ideas, innovative.
