Here is a thread over at CPF. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?242939-So-is-the-Ultrafire-WF-1300L-worth-the-price-and-if-not-what-should-I-buy

The light is over 3 years old, yet I haven't heard very much about it.

Keep in mind that is not XM-L U2, it is a SSC U2.

What’s an SSC U2?

Seoul Semiconductor P4 (U2 bin).

It's no where near the performance of its bigger brother the SSC P7.

And the P7 is no where the near the performance of the XM-L.

Got it.

o ok, nevermind about this light then.

And the XM-L is no where the near the performance of the SST-P90 :stuck_out_tongue:

next up, MT-G2

Even a 3up mtg-2 is scary to think about in cell requirements… 18v in series or minimum 9a in parallel, then you need a 3up lense/reflector with 9mm plus openings :open_mouth:

don’t push your luck: CBM-360 ho-ho-ho

Awww, cute wittle baby LED. When it grows up it want to be: 15,000 Lumen Bridgelux C9000 Light Engine

This is what I can call a Kicka$$ light…

Maybe no real 5000 lumen… But I like it…

Would it be overly hard to convert it to xm-l u3 / xm-l2 u2? I quite like the design and think it has a good bit of potential.

Depending on the driver size and all that.

I don’t think it would be “hard”, but the cost, in parts and in time spent seem excessive.

buy this, or for a bit more, a solarstorm 7 xml, and you’d have money left for cells, charger and beer

I owned this light, and in terms of the host build quality, it's really second to none, hands down better than the Skyray for example. The anodization is unusually good, and the host itself is very beefy.

The problem is, in terms of raw power, it's kind of useless. The $40-$50 skyray king will beat it easily. Also with that battery carrier, you will not be able to use the longer protected 18650 batteries.

dam that sucks about that boruit. very nice and cheap but dimmer than the king. what a waste
but dude, that solarstorm for only $85! is this a misprint?? why so cheap. has anyone gotten this light yet or heard reviews?
