TK's Emisar D4 review

Any good Pocket clip to put on this gem ?

TK posted earlier that this clip works on it, Deep Carry Flashlight Pocket Clip - Black

Thank you, so it’s a Convoy clip.
I have some spare, I’ll give it a try but I find them too flimsy in general…
Maybe on of my Olight clip will fit

Grey Nichia + 18350 + tracking on the way…

Any more infos on D7?

Hardly.

thanks.

Green nichia on the way.

Purchased one of each. This is pretty cool! I would definitely like to see a lower moonlight if possible. But overall very awesome. Thank you!

Green xpg2 3D on the way!! Love that tint on my M43

I have an XP-G2 4000k from MTNElectronics.

1) I love the tint better than my other 219c lights.

2) I’ve been experiencing an issue where setting it to lowest and it jumps to a higher level or to Max output. Not sure why. Don’t want to blind myself or family in the middle of the night.

Maybe I was lucky, but if it was not there yesterday, it is there today. I just found out about his site this morning. Been watching MTN Electronics

Ordered green 219c with 18350 and 18500.

Is there a good 18500 with power enough to make this one work well?

Hi everyone -

The OP says that max battery length is 67 millimeters.

I like the 18650 batteries with a built in mini-USB charger. All of those are ~70.7mm long, EXCEPT for the Nitecore NL1834R 3400mAh ( BATTERIES ), which is 68mm long.

Can I fit a 68mm battery into this Emisar D4?

(I would presume so.

Could I even fit a 70.7mm battery into this Emisar D4? I would guess not!)

Anyone please estimate and let me know

Thanks!

Oops, actually the BATTERIES battery is 70.6mm too at its longest:

I hope this battery fits both the Emisar D4!?

Could anyone make up his mind in this question?

Is this the updated version with the new firmware?

Wow, what a lovely UI !!!

You changed this light from “not practical” to “must have” - just by editing the firmware !

Thanks TK, Tom E and the whole team !!!

Hey how are you? I don’t have the light so I cannot give you absolute certainty when it comes to dimensions. But my guess is that the micro USB battery is too long for the D4; length is the weakest link of these batteries with built in chargers. Secondly, these batteries with built in chargers are using (most of them) NCR18650B which is rated at 5A. There is also protection that should kick in at around 5A. This is simply not enough to full power the FET driven D4, and my guess is that the light is going to trip the protection. So I’m afraid it’s not going to work… :frowning:

A Nichia version on the way to me.
