you had another post "aspheric pt54 red beam shot" that showed your aspheric at 110yds and an approx 33ft hotspot / beam pattern

do you feel the new optolife lens will have about the same size beam pattern at that range?

Beam pattern will be close and good for rifle use. My 501b with OP reflector w/ copper base is less intense hot spot with good spill and will be crossbow mounted. These run on lifepo4. Runtime is short 7 min but isn’t an issue. Weapon mounted lights are secondary. Primary are feeder lights or handheld. Still working on a couple of handheld designs with longer battery life, encluding a multiple PT54 red emitter or a single PT121 red.

how do the new optolife 50mm lenses compare height/thickness wise to your best kd lenses,are the optolife a little thicker?

you ordered both plain and MC coated,which works best with the pt54?
