Recently it has come to my attention some strategies a few sellers use.

When you have a problem even AliExpress gives you instructions to first try to solve between you and the seller but the seller keeps stalling until the time to open a dispute runs out (usually 15 days after receiving the product). They keep you negotiating and make promises but unfortunately something always goes wrong. For example they agree to send a replacement with your next order but the item you want is out of stock (even if it appears available for order in their store) A few days later they say it’s back in stock so you make another purchase from them with the written promise to send the replacement with the new order, then out of the blue someone bought all the units of the item you ordered and they have to delay the shipping, a few days go by and the shipping is placed but unfortunately someone else in the company forgot to send the replacement with the new order, another day, they ask you to make another purchase of the product you need replaced but don’t pay so they can alter the price to 1 cent (this is where I was when my suspicion became too much and I opened the dispute)
After reading about this subject I came by a few testimonials of people that lost their money.
One of them made the purchase of 1 cent thinking they would receive the replacement but it never came so they opened a dispute (for the 1 cent order since the previous had expired time to dispute) and the seller settled and gave 1 cent back, nothing else.
The other had opened the dispute but the seller begged him to close the dispute for (product not as described)
and open with another (saying it would be less damaging for him). After that the seller did everything in his way to not pay and the buyer couldn’t prove the new dispute because it had the wrong reasoning and he already had closed the right one.

Well not everyone is like that. I had a wonderful customer service with Simon mao from Convoy, don’t get me wrong Convoy is not perfect, but he always answered my messages and really went out of his way to help.

PS. I’m still waiting for him to have some time to tell me the story of how he started Convoy. Great guy

Yes, would only trust on few reputable sellers, like Simon. Other than that, it’s better to place a dispute, just in case.
