【TS10V2 Al available】Wurkkos "slender waist" TS10v2 aluminum version available with black, green, orange

I wanted to change item 3, I wanted to verify item 4 was set to off, and I wanted the option to use item 1 and 2, IF I feel like it. So I reverted my TS25 to not use the 8C hex.

I dont want to keep hijacking this Copper TS10 thread to keep reworking my hex files. Im going to move any further discussion about this to Private Messages w dmenezes.

Unrelated, some people like patina, some like to hammer their copper and brass:

not my pic, it came from here

thank you for all, i collect the number now,

Amazon TS10 Prime Day super deal at price $16.79

Kind of forgot about the Reddit poll, here are the final results for titanium:

image
134 probable purchasers, 25 of which would likely buy multiple.
105 interested depending on price and LEDs. 68 non-buyers to give a sense of proportion for people who voted (especially since you can’t see the results until it’s finished unless you vote).

Interest in both titanium with copper and full-titanium versions, and mostly 6000/4000k LEDs. Aux interest mixed but true RGB and blue the most popular.

i would love to see a single emitter ts10 ti with copper head with flush heat sink fins that are all the way around, not the “long rectangle sections” it currently has. and skip the tear drop design on the tail cap bc its always inconsistent.

Thanks for this informatioin :+1:, I think we need to respond to this and I will continue to communicate with the factory and update here

5 Thanks

I think the people who vote on Reddit like different color aux than the people who vote on BLF ;-). I like blue less than all the other colors. These differences in opinion would not matter if TS10 came with RGB aux, like the TS25 does.

Imo an All Titanium TS10 would be Very Popular. I like shiny, but stonewashed is extremely popular with many people. I do not like copper head mix with Titanium, for many reasons.

A BLF poll would be informative…

IMO blue is the less useful of the light colors because:

  • it doesn’t preserve night vision as red does;
  • it doesn’t avoid attracting bugs while keeping high visibility like green;
  • it isn’t a ‘happy medium’ between red and green (ie preserves night vision somewhat, avoid attracting bugs somewhat, and is more visible than pure red.

On the other hand, it’s the most popular favourite colour among people in general, and IMO, the blue on the TS10 really fits the colour of most titanium finishes well.

For me the best color is red but visible not red of the TS10 that is useless.

The RGB only likes if it’s like the TS25 because it can be changed or used as a battery visualizer.

The TS10 rgb cannot be controlled only has a disco or another but it is not a single color.

It would be ideal a flashlight for everyone but the brightness for each color, it wouldn’t be the same for size.

Maybe I don’t understand your point here. In the TS10 my preference is (1) orange aux, (2) red aux. I don’t rely on either for illumination, but appreciate their subtleness for locating the light in darkness when set to the lowest gradient. Neither disturbs me during sleep, and I can readily locate and operate the light when in total darkness without stressing my night vision. Green and or blue aux on the other hand are irritatingly bright even on their respective lowest settings. This includes lighted switches of the same colors. I have to turn them away from me at night to avoid sleep disturbance. Maybe it’s just my sensitivity, but it is what it is in my world. That being said, some color coordination makes sense from an aesthetic standpoint. Today I received a brass TS10 4000K with green aux, and after firing it up, it just makes sense for some reason. Very appealing, but it will not be bedside for me. (I also have an MAO with blue aux…again it’s like rum and coke when I look at it in the daylight, but I don’t drink it LOL).

I have the opposite problem - red aux on low is on some lights too low to find the light in the dark. The red on the TS10 is fine, but that’s probably the only light. I like the blue aux because on low it’s a comfortable setting that’s visible without being disturbing, and I often wish my Hanklights’ low aux mode was a little bit higher.

I don’t have any Emisar/Noctigon lights to make a comparison. Everyone has differing sensitivity, and expectations. You seem to be highly versed in the physical dynamics of hardware/ firmware correlation with respect to Anduril. Would there not be a code mechanism to adjust aux output to satisfy individual preferences? Just an ignorant curiosity on my part.

Common question, unfortunately the MCU would have to stay awake, consuming more battery, and also on at least some if not all of the common MCUs, there aren’t enough PWM waveform generators to do it with aux anyway. For lights I may need quickly in the dark, I usually set locked aux to either white or disco.

The real solution is full RGB aux so people can choose what they want, of course

My aluminum TS10’s are split between blue and green aux. All of my Hanklights are set to voltage, and usually blue as well. I’ve found that the only colors that affect my night vision are orange and yellow, which ruin it the same way 2700-3000K does. I spent too much time doing night-ops on carriers to buy all the hype about red, though it’s a better fit for copper than a cooler color would be. The blue goes real nice with silver though, and is also what I’m used to seeing on the bridge at night.

I think there are two different kinds of considerations re: aux color: utility, and aesthetic. I was referring to the former, and you to the latter – so I guess both of us could be right.

When I first got my TS10, my idea was to try and use its red aux for illumination on very dark situations, but it proved useless for that, even on high mode: the way the way the aux LEDs are positioned behind the non-focusing parts of the optics make then totally diffuse.

In the last few days, I’ve started using them for locating purposes: I used to leave my light in a very specific location by the bedside so as to be able to find it in the dark, but that frequently failed; with my TS10 red auxes on low, this problem has been solved and they’re non-intrusive enough not to disturb my sleep.

100% agreed. Wurkkos once reported they were working on that (on Reddit IIRC) for a future edition of the copper TS10 (again IIRC). @Wurkkos_Terry, any progress on that?

Interesting, and totally contrary to my experience, for me anything non-red ruins my night vision and disturbs my sleep, even at low intensities. Case in point, I tape over any and all non-red LEDs in electronics around the house even away from the bed because if I wake up for a fridge or potty run, they disturb me enough to make it hard getting back to sleep. The same happened with my FC13 as a bedside lamp, in voltage-showing mode which is usually blue or green, it was completely disturbing and I had to turn the switch away from me, and it ended up being replaced by the TS10 for that function.

I guess it’s really different strokes for different folks!

Got it my man! We are designing the new PCB for real RGB TS10 now ; )

10 Thanks

Yay!!! Great news, can’t wait! Please post here in this thread when it’s available, otherwise please '@'tag me when you do!

I agree Red is best for sleep
Blue is best for staying awake

Yay!

Just in time for the Titanium model

There is a Poll Here about the surface finish. So far Shiny and Stonewashed are most popular…

I hope more people will vote…

3 Thanks

Thanks for the heads-up, I haven’t seen that poll, just went there and voted.

I will definitely buy a TS10 with controllable-RGB auxes, and would sure like to have it in non-aluminum metal (copper or titanium) depending on price.

Agree
