Turnigy LSD's

I feel the same way as well....im always willing to try out new products if the price is right.

Well i did another R/A and the cells have improved which for us is a good thing.

Cell1--2178

Cell2--2168

Any update on these LSD?

I use them exclusively in all my AA lights. They are better than I initially thought: Also use them in my R/C radio, and they hold very well.

I use AAA ones in my mouse They have high capacity for an AAA and hold charge pretty well - at least on pair with GP recyko+ !

Sorry been to busy with life to do another R/A will have to do that soon, so far i really like these cells. Oh and what radio do you use.

I use Graupner MX-12 (JR XP6102 in the USA). Recently replaced the original 1700 mAh pack with Turnigy LSD.

Cool i still use my M8 with DSM modules, let me know if you want to see a pic i have it decked out with vinyl sticker covers.

One mean looking radio! Nice :)

Anyone tested how well do this batteries hold the charge after some time?

And if they hold the voltage well under heavy current draw.. (compared to eneloops)

Some people from this forum say they are not that good.

I havent done any truly objective tests on mine, but in practical use, they are holding up Very very well. I think i have 16 AA and 4 AAA cells, and their all going strong.

For the price, they are cheaper than buying alkalines locally, even including shipping to australia. I have not properly tested the cells, but I havent experienced any problems with them yet. Maybe eneloops will perform better, but as of yet I dont own any!

Capacity is definitely in the 2.1-2.3A region, when discharged at 1A to 1.0v, which is enough for me to be happy to use these. Self discharge has not practically been a problem for me, especially when my torches have a parasitic drain of 2-3mA anyway.

Anyone with experience on how they hold their voltage underload, especially after a few months?

One of the advantages of the Eneloops is said to be how well they hold voltage underload even after storage. Some other LSDs may not lose capacity but do lose the ability to hold voltage under load which reduces effective capacity under voltage sensitive devices. e.g. http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?194180-eneloop-vs.-Kodak-Pre-Charged-Voltage-Maintenance/page3 http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-camera-field-accessories/60724-recharging-eneloop-batteries-2.html http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/424641-post62.html

The Turnigy seem to do okay initially, in fact perhaps even better then the Eneloop in the later part of the discharge cycle http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1185588&page=2 but haven't seen anything comparing them after a few months of storage. Mind you it's more out of interest then actual effect, the Enerloops are just too expensive here to be considered....

Ordered 6 in June and left them untouched till this past week. Discharge ranged from 1600-1700mah. After first charge they reached between 2280-2415mah.

These are back in stock. Has anyone ordered and tested a new batch? I'm thinking of ordering but I'd like someone confirming they are fine.

A small test ...

I would buy some AA's, but not sure they are worth it, I need 20 of them, but the shipping would be 17$, bit too much IMO.

old4570, I saw that test, all the tests I've read so far are good.

I was asking about this particular batch. They came in stock today, after about two weeks of being backordered.

Hmm...

Well, since they came back in stock today probably nobody has them yet :)

Paisley Bump.

Had to buy 8 more myself ! For use in radio transmitters [ RC Heli ]

Using Alkaline's will be too expensive ... [ and they dont last that long ]

Though I might need more latter on ..
