What I want to make is a table with rating and main parameters (Like charge connector, number of batteries, max. current).
But because I always have a lot of other stuff I need to do, it get pushed (At the current time I have test data for about 10 batteries, 2 chargers and one USB box and some other articles I need to do).
Has anyone tried working out approximately how many full charges a smartphone would get from 4x 3400 mAh 18650’s?
As I’d like a 4 bay battery box, I am going to order what HKJ recommended, the Coollook PB-2000.
Thanks for everyones comments, really appreciated.
Edit: 1 more question, when recharging the battery box, can you charge your phone on it at the same time? In what order do they charge, or both at the same time?
Hmm, surprising, I thought that’d be a pretty standard feature, that’s for that.
How come you rate the ENB and PB-2000 as your picks without this feature? Not an important feature for you?
Using 4x 3400 mah batteries would increase that significantly. Probably close to 4 charges of an iphone.
Thanks for the correction HKJ.
The ENB doesn’t seem as good to me, with only unprotected batteries fitting…but it’s good to have the option to charge your phone and batteries in the box at the same time.
Hrm, trade off’s, I can’t believe a company hasn’t released one that combines the technologies.
Has anyone tested the Ruinovo 6 cell pack (or any of the Ruinovo’s)?
They looked better quality with the aluminium casing and I wanted a 6 cell pack to use up some of my many decent and matched laptop pulls so I have one of those on the way.
I just ordered the Ruinovo 402 with 4x3400mah Pannies yesterday and will give it a go. I really liked the look and being aluminium. My primary reasoning for the purchase was not for charging my phone (although it will get used for that when camping, etc). I wanted it to power my little Sony Actioncam for long duration time lapse photography. The stock battery lasts about 4 hours and is 1240mah so this should give me at least 2 full days of continuous shooting.
I’ve built and bought a bunch of power packs, and so far the Ruinovo is the one I prefer most of the time. The screws suck, though, but it comes with extras. Toss the included screwdriver in the trash as well. Mine has just the smallest hint of a rattle with 4 harvested Sony cells, and I’ve been meaning to put in the little spacers if needed when I switch to some Panasonic cells.
