I didn’t measure with a discharge test, just a charge test. I don’t have the equipment to do a discharge test, so I understand that an “applied charge” test isn’t super scientific, as it might not account for actual charge IN the cell.
But as far as what the charger reads it applied, it says 1512mAh, with a starting voltage of 2.7v.
Just curious. I have done some testing in the past. On my MC3000 using the same lower and upper limits on voltage I get a 10 to 15% difference when measuring charge versus discharge capacity numbers. Just a data point. I have been toying with the idea of getting some F15 cells. But honestly the current pricing is not good. Especially when I have several H10 and F12 cells already.
Yeah, I would agree that a <20% increase might not be worth another full investment, at least not yet. I ordered from Convoy a few weeks ago @4/$20, maybe more after the tariffs finally kick in…

The last reply here is over a year old. Did any new 14500 with even higher capacity appear in the meantime?
And, to all of you who use the F15, how is your experience after 1 or 2 years of using them?
I haven’t done any formal testing other than initial capacity checks. All 8 of mine were within about 5% of the claimed capacity. Other than that I have just used them in several ts-10s and 4 FW/F1AA lights. It “seems” that I get a bit more run time than the H10s that I had been using.
I haven’t seen any 14500 cells with a higher rated capacity. But I haven’t done any serious searching either.
Sorry for the somewhat equivocal answer, but that is all I have.
I tested a couple of F15s that havent been used for over a year (bought early 2025), cycled only a few times initially and stored at full charge, both were at 4.09V and tested at 1496 and 1487mAh at 0.2C (300mA), DCIR about 65-70mR at 50% SOC.
(Tested in an icharger x6 which is more accurate than a typical round cell charger).
