The influence of battery choice on light output is illustrated by the post 8/8 by cannga in the following thread. Different batteries provided 800 lumens versus 500 lumens in his test. Cheaper no name lithium ion batteries typically have higher internal resistance, limiting current output.

Will adding 18650 tube to Wurkkos TS11 allow better thermal regulation?

This would be my guess. I have a lumen tube to measure output and the the battery makes a huge difference. Checking at ceiling level of simple mode: Vapcell H10: ~800 lm No name battery: ~500 lm Big drop about 30%. The light doesn’t draw the same from different batteries; at high brightness level, it could draw only as much as the battery could provide.
