very warm high cri reading headlamp

Perfect timing, too. Just got a sales email from LITOM (first time in forever), and that critter’s on sale for 11bux from the LITOM site.

Just had to charge mine after running it down doing puzzles.

Received the HS05.

Cute little light in 2700K and the moonlight mode surprisingly usable although the low mode probably more useful for reading.

It’s reasonably floody and suspect that had there been an OP option it may have sufficed. Having said that, would have preferred a ‘beaded’ TIR regardless and it’d have been perfect for me.

Just apply d-c-fix to the lens and it would be fine

I have a “Warm White” Armytek Wizard Pro with the XHP50 that is very nice for, well, everything so far. It seems to be becoming obsolete by my Nichia version, but the XHP50 is definitely warmer. Nowhere near 2700k like the little Sofirn, but a much lower moonlight none the less.

My “daily banger” is an S2+ with 219c in 4000K and it’s very pleasant. I’m really enjoying the 2700K Sofirn though. It’s a such a lovely warm light.

The Cyansky HS6R is very decent. I measured 4300k on the spot beam and the flood is the SST20 4000K which has 3 levels for an excellent bright flood

Just came inside from getting beamshots for my Nitecore HC65 V2 review and the Cyansky is nicer, not as bright, but is a better CCT

The Cyansky looks gorgeous. Bit on the grounds-for-divorce expensive side for me but I’ll probably explore a ‘higher end’ had lamp next time I go on holiday. Maybe over the next 10 to 20 years if I’m lucky.

I forgot that all you needed it for was reading

What about something like this?

Something with a blue led might be worth looking into if the books are text only.

I got this book light for my mom and she loves it.

The photos in the upper left corner are wrong, and I only paid $12 for it (two years ago), but that's the link.

Looks like an egg slicer

Yeah, like I said, the photos are wrong.

I wonder how many have bought it and said “what the h*ll is this thing?! I wanted an egg slicer”

Not many because people will start nagging and returning the goods, no doubt that’s so costly the seller with change the pictures.

I guess most people scrolled down and saw the much more on-topic pictures

So? You can use it if your light has a fried-egg beam.

I did some more research.

If I were to get a book light now, I would get this one...

One common complaint is that this book light only gives 3 hours of light per charge on the highest brightness.

That could be a deal breaker for some people.

Totally random…. I just ordered the Lumintop Ant LEP. I have several LEPs but nothing I can just toss in a jacket pocket. I also have some 14500s around that look very lonely because I don’t have a light that uses them
