Warsun Zoomie X65. Bro of UF1405?

I bet you have a plexy-laser service as well somewhere around. I have one, found on ebay.

He makes all kinds of stuff - what you want.
Someone like him can surely make a spacer to fit a 20mm DTP Star in a 27mm fitting.

My three color nut model has a 3 x AA holder. It is bigger than 26650 size in order to hold 3 x AA.

Yeah, I have one of the “nut” lights too, and like the 3xAA holder.
I thought the Warsun battery tube took the same size, but don’t have one to verify.

definitely decent quality 3 AA holder, plastic but w/screws. Both the X65 and Sharp Eagle tri-color are the same exact light, both come with the same exact carrier. If you were to mod the X65 for LED and driver, I'd suggest the cheaper tri-color just to save a couple of bucks - GB still has the deal still on: http://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_193397.html for $10.90 with coupon code: SEZQ3. I got both - no differences at all. The TMART deal expired, which was $8.nn.

Also both lights come with a sleeve to fit the 26650 (as fritz said), no sleeve for a 18650. The tube is like the width of a XinTD X3, but it never came with the 26650 sleeve.

I measure 30.5 mm. for the battery holder and a bit over 31 mm. for the ID of the tube. Possibly with thinner wrapping? I was thinking the same. D cells don’t fit.

EDIT

I said “I got the Tmart tri-color, but definitely no sleeve in it — the 26650 rattles around with a lot of extra space.
Drat.”

OOPS, my bad — found the sleeve in the crumpled up packing paper when I went to recycle.

Wow - mine came with it, but I paid the higher price before they had (or I knew) the deal was on. It was either loose or taped to the box. Inside the light was the AA carrier. I recall the cheap white box was totally smashed, and was surprised the light suffered no consequential damage. The X65 box, though same type envelope was about pristine.

My TMART tri-color though got the USPS tour - came to a hub just a few miles away on LI, then shipped to Cincinnati, then to NJ, then back to LI -- had to kill some time I guess... At least they seemed to hurry it's return trip - 4 days to Ohio, then just 1 day to NJ and LI.

Edit: 32650's don't fit, just like an X3. Wish the X3 came with this 26650 adapter though - tried one in the X3 and works well.

I built my Nut Model with a dedomed XM-L2 t5 5c1 and a Qlite driver. It has a very small spot and a very wide flood, as expected. It draws a tenth of an ampere more with the 3 x AA holder I got from Gearbest http://www.gearbest.com/diy-parts-and-tools/pp_89760.html than with the one that came in it.
Warsun on lower left, stage lighting Fresnel lens light on upper right. They draw similar current, but the huge stage lighting lens catches more of the light.

It looks like I nicked the side of the dedomed XM-L2 while installing it.

The Gearbest coupon for the nut light (SEZQ3) has expired.
I ordered a third one. This time from Tmart, where there is an 11 hour price of $8.99.
I am thinking that I will use one for an XHP50 with three 14500s and a buck driver. And one as three color, but replacing the cool and warm white LEDs with purple and maybe yellow or green. The big long focal length lens will make a nice spot with a multi-die LED. I have an “LD-2D 3A 2-3 Cells Circuit board for 6V LEDs” on order from International Outdoors. This will probably give less than three amps., but maybe it will be more stable with battery voltage than a “linear” driver with two cells and be more efficient than a linear driver with three cells.

Wow. I’m just going to follow you around (grin) …

A 50 mm. lens arrived. This one I think: http://www.dx.com/p/50mm-optical-glass-lens-for-flashlight-spot-light-44653#.VdKJD5cy1uY, though the package didn’t say anything I understood. It has a somewhat shorter focal length and a slightly larger useful area, so I consider it a worth while improvement, depending on the use. The optical quality seems good as far as I have seen.

Is this a LatticeBright?

Not sure, it’s sure got bad enough tint and output. I’ll check.

I am trying to mount a 6 V buck driver from IOS on a copper disc for cooling and ground. So far I have learned that traces on boards aren’t strong enough to bend attached solid copper wire, and that you have to solder a wire to the heavy thing before you solder the other end to a lighter thing.
I may start a new thread on it when it starts to go better.

Are those Warsun shipping with XM-L2 leds?

mine (from bg) came with xm-l2 i think…

off center btw…

Oh that is great if its XM-L2  Thanks

I have a Warsun X65 that was re-shipped soon after 12/17/2015. The Cree XM-L appears to be genuine, phosphor surrounds the bond wire pads on all sides. The original shipment on 10/15/2015, that was lost, may have had an XM-L2, as described, but these were apparently no longer available by the time of the second shipment. (So I paid for an XM-L2 and got an XM-L, but I got free tracking on the second shipment, and the loss doesn’t appear to be there fault.)

I ordered the xm-l from BG USA warehouse and it came with xm-l2
