Since I've only recently become an addict, I have only a few months' experience to play with, but...
Just can't complain about the trusty Fenix E01! This little guy gets the job done and inspires confidence. I couldn't see NOT carrying a flashlight now.
My other jacket-pocket light is a fairly new RMSEN RV-107. Crummy switch, gobs of light (especially compared to the E01), great price.
Come spring, we'll have to decide on a "motorcycle cubbyhole" flashlight... probably one of my Romisen RC-29s.
Lights on my keychain (always with me): Akoray K-102 head + homemade body to accomodate 10280 li-ion cell, DX 3xLR41 keychain light modded with Nichia GS 10 lumens 5 mm led. This is my main backup and secondary backup lights. The primary light depend of the mood.
1. Trustfire TR-801 with moded driver (AK-47) with hi-med-lo.
2. Sipik 68 zoomie
3. 504B alternative version (look at manafont) wit their R5 dropin 5 mode. It is EDC when climate requres to wear a jacket of some sort. (currently using the XM-L P60 cannon)
This was my favorite flashlight... a custom light using a Luxeon and an N-cell. Beat out my Arc AAA and even my Arc4+ for sheer beauty and versatility.
Then I was absent from the scene for a few years.
Right now it is my iTP A1. The little sucker is brighter than my Elektrolumens Blaster and hotwire Mag, which used to be the brightest lights I owned!
My Fav is EDCs are my Nitecores. These go out when it seems to suit the trip - indoor - NDI/D10, outdoor - NEx
D10, NDI, NEx
Got these during the garage sales and second hand, so although not normally budget, they definitely were budget priced (thinks of that poll asking about buying name brand at half price vs good budget lights)
I had 10440 and 14500 lights with me for some time, but I found they are empty too fast. So I usually carry a compact 18650 light in my pocket: the stock UltraFire P10-R5. Recently however I modded my UltraFire A10B with an XP-G R4 4B neutral white LED @1.4A, and now I carry that, even though it is a bit bigger.
Currently it is definitely my Mr.Lite J4 with an XM-L and reflector mod. The Ultrafire U20 keeps turning up near me as does the Trustfire S-A6 and the Mr.Lite LT3.
The bigger ones tend to be in the car or in a bag. Nothing bigger than a single 18650 light is likely to be on my person unless I'm dog spotting or doing something that might need a lot of light.
I've currently got a dqg tiny aaa on my key ring and carrying a 4 sevens q mini aa2. But this changes depending on my mood. I like to rotate my lights.
