What blade did you EDC today?

A few of my current favorites in my EDC rotation.
CIVIVI Crit Multi and CIVIVI Riffle.

That Crit Multi tool looks kinda neat. Of course Amazon doesn’t have them right now.

Great little Multi. Currently on sale. I’m very pleased with mine.

I don’t even use the flipper tab. The button works so well opening and closing, I’ve barely touched it. I’m using the knife day and night and am contemplating removing others from my edc because of it.

I cant figure out what knife model you are talking about, when I click the username you replied to, it talks about a Medford knife… but I still cant tell what model…

got a link, model name, or photo?

I was wondering the same thing ???

I was referring to db’s response to my post on the Medford smooth criminal

I tried to pm you and it said I can’t send a message to that user

1 Thank

thanks for that info

sturdy looking knife
glad the button is working well for you

Lol, he referenced Smooth Criminal in the original post. Since it makes you think of a song it’s easy to miss without knowing Medford models.

Dang Post Office! My harpoon blade traveled to PA for heat treat and should have been delivered to them yesterday. Instead, someone decided to return it to the return address so it was back in Texas this morning! And once again now heading BACK to PA!

Killin me

I still dont know what “Original Post” youre talking about…

be that as it may, there was no referece in the post I replied to… all I could do was clic to see what he was replying to, and all it said was Medford…

scrolling up I saw a Medford fixed blade… so it made no sense to me, why he was talking about a flipper with a button

Im sure you knew, but those of us just seeing the post from yesterday had no clue. And fwiw, I still dont know how to find the post where he talks about the song… as there is no post number reference

anyway… I think its a stupid name for a knife… but hey, I never. heard of the song before, either… LOL

Post 4335, the song is Michael Jackson’s song, Smooth Criminal.

Kershaw Lucid 2036!

I really like this knife.
I’m not too crazy about the texture of the glass filled nylon (the blue part), but that’s a minor complaint.
This knife is one of the best looking knives that I own.
(I like the shade of blue and the blade shape.)
I’ll probably EDC this knife for a while, but then I’ll eventually revert back to my favorite knife.
Still, this knife is pretty darn good.

My recent EDC combo with the Petrified Fish Viking:

Not really EDC’ing it today (since I didn’t leave the house so far today), but I was “playing around” (flicking it open) with my recently purchased SOG Sidewinder.

I was too lazy to make a picture of it, so here is one I grabbed from the interwebs:

Giant Mouse Ace Tribeca with MagnaCut. Well designed and flawlessly executed, quite pleased!

I got a Kershaw Heist yesterday. My first impression was with the overall good quality of what some would consider a value knife. I used the knife on everything from a loose thread to breaking down a large shipping box made from thick cardboard. I was disappointed with the edge retention of the D2 blade. The edge held up about the same as my experience with Benchmade’s 154CM and less than what I have gotten out of the edge on Spyderco’s CTS-XHP.

Lot of knife users in here. Can anyone tell me why the lock face on the MagnaCut blade looks carbidized? I mean, that’s a trick used on Titanium to prevent galling (thus lock stick) against hardened steel ie: framelock.

Weird.

Edit: they claim that the MagnaCut is 63RC, and the liners are AISI 420 hardened SS, which can be hardened to some 55 RC. So, I am missing the why on that lock face surface prep.

Just got a sheath made for my 15th blade, used a camo print Kydex.

This is now 6 3/4” blade length in MagnaCut, 1/4” thick stock hardened to 62 RC. The Burl Mesquite I cut out of a large block that had just enough burl for this knife… I’ve had that piece since ~’98.

Haven’t sharpened it yet, trying to wait for my laser guy to etch my logo and all. This next weekend I hope.

I accidentally dropped out when the forum changed and my quick link broke. I don’t like the way it looks now but I missed this place. Anyway, I’ve still got this modified Sage in rotation.
