Little more thought on my firmware flash after reading all the recent posts on Anduril “issues”. The newer version just might flash to muggle mode with no turbo. But I’m still learning Anduril so I would bet that I am the Issue.

The posts i see are about someone’s personal issues with Anduril 2 rather than issues within the firmware.

Is one Anduril 1 and one Anduril 2? Turbo behavior has changed in Anduril 2. To get turbo, first ramp up to ceiling, then do 2C. It can be changed in the config menu, check the manual.

Hello Sammy, I tried the ramp to top and 2C but there still was no change in brightness. Same files again on another light with another MtnE 17mm Fet+1 tiny85, but this light is a triple running 1S. Flashed it back to the 2020 file and it will run turbo ON and 2C. Same problem on 2 different lights with same files used.

Thanks for the offer Jon. I tried again on the 2021 file and also tried to to see if it was Muggle mode. I was able to access other functions so I am inclined to think it was not in Muggle mode and NO Turbo once again. 6C, same same… Just went back to the 2020 file I know works.

Anduril 1 had muggle mode, Anduril 2 is quite different and is built around 2 UIs, Simple UI and Advanced UI. Simple UI is a properly performing UI with more functions than muggle mode, possibly including those functions you accessed.

In Anduril 2, if you’re not at the top of the ramp 2C will take you there. Once you’re at the top of the ramp 2C will take you to turbo in Advanced UI, but there is no turbo in the Simple UI so 2C will not change the brightness level from the top of the ramp.

If you’ve just flashed the firmware it will have defaulted to Simple UI (intentionally) which would give you more functions than muggle mode and no turbo, which sounds similar to what you experienced.

Also, 6C is only relevant to Anduril 1, it does not switch between UIs in Anduril 2. (That’s 10H for Simple -> Advanced, and 10C for Advanced -> Simple.)

Is it possible there’s a misunderstanding with how the new firmware functions rather than a fault with the firmware itself?
