There arenât many that use the round end. I suppose the flack given by dumb buyers saying my PC it doesnât see my phone⌠It is Charge only.
I searched hard, ask CRX PMs were flying for a couple days.
That one was the best deal for getting 3 connectors to hack up. Depending on the light I guess you could just insert the adapter and seal around it to get same result. I wanted a close fit so I tore into it, removing the connector from the back and soldering wires direct.
There is a company selling Patented âbreakawayâ connectors for laptops. I think this is making various adapters scarce and expensive. I would like some 5.5mmX2.1mm magnetic power connector adapters.
But doesnât seem to have affected the phone market for such things. I tried the round to Micro USB on my phone but I could see it causing more stress on the connector in my pocket than using the micro port only. Huge benefit is the super fast and easy connection while driving. But newer connector types that are reversible are already much easier than dealing with micro USB. Hard to say that the 5pin oval types are going to be better or not. Definitely need a flush fit.
The OD on the adapters and wire connector are 8mm, for some perspective.
CRX, are you using GITD powder + resin or the GITD tape on the K03?
Nice one! Iâve been thinking to grab one of these small lights (Sofirn or not). Does it take 18350 batteries?
Thanks in advance! :+1:
Nice! Thats makes it glow ânaturallyâ on the led! On the tail it will have to absorb some light then! Thanks for the information about both things Wish it could take 18350sâŚ
BTW, some time ago I put a bit of GITD tape inside a transparent switch and it works quite well (after putting another flashlight glowing at it some seconds)!
It can glow all night in the bedside if one needs to grab it! It is my improvised âlighted switchâ so far
Nice. Back in the good old days I drove a modded Mini with a (switchable) foglight on my rear bumper (US: fender).
Of course that was way before every aspect of human life was strangled by EC regulations.
