I like Johnny Mac reviews. Nice flashlight almost purchased one a few years ago. Decided 4AA’s are just to big and heavy for what I want.
Having two switches works well for me because then I can have a momentary on feature. My problem is the perfect AA flashlight does not exist for me. I sold almost all my double AA flashlights. Just had my original Jetbeam BA20 left. That is why I asked for ideas. I had entirely forgot I owned and sold 2 Solarforce T2’s. That was a bit embarrassing for me. I am just a bit absent minded.

I owned a original D25AA. It drove me nuts with all the different outputs. It was a very nice flashlight in regards to tint and high output. Thanks for the heads up.

One of my favorite 2 AA flashlights was the iTP A2, If I remember I got it for 20 bucks.
I let a friend talk me out of it. It was a 2 button light. 3 speeds with mode changing on head switch. I have been scanning for one for some time.
The iTP A2 is a 1xAA flashlight. Did you mean the iTP SA2?

Edit. It also had ramping brightness. LED was little on green side, but it was easy to get to.
Well I went looking for the iTP SA2 could not find one to buy. I found a over priced C8, and a Sipik SK68 sold at Sears……
The Hugsby XP-12 is a nice and cheap choice. It’s available from multiple vendors between $6-10 a piece. Simple and dependable. I did a review on it a little while back.

I bought one of these based on the recommendation here. It’s a nice looking light but arrived with a defective switch and the company never did help me with it despite multiple emails.
Is there anything I can do to salvage this thing?
What is it doing that led you to believe it’s a faulty switch?
It could be an easy fix. Does it have a retaining ring in the tailcap? If it does try screwing it in more. They are sometimes loose. If that doesn’t work, you could replace to switch completely which might not be too hard for you.
I just come here from google search. After reading comment I am totally confused which AA flashlight should buy. Which is the best aa flashlight that you will recommend to buy? I bought the Lumintop ED25 for about $20 on sale, it’s currently $25. I am still amazed by the quality of this light and the output running on plain old AA batteries.
Inova X2 in Mossy Oak. On eBay, I see 6 for sale at $25.84 shipped. 2AA included, 190/43 lumens, wonderful fit n finish. Hmm. May have to pull the trigger myself…
