Though not technically a Christmas movie I most often watch “It’s a wonderful life”.
Die Hard or The Great Escape.
They’re on at christmastime, they’re christmas movies.
Rare Exports. Finnish movie that’s subtitles most of the time. Supposed to be a dark comedy but I couldn’t find much giggles to be had. Just very weird.
Would you personally choose The Great Escape to watch on Christmas? That’s really the only “requirement.”
Sound’s like something I’d watch. You recommend watching it on Christmas?
Yea, it’s definitely Christmas themed. Just don’t expect to be crying at the end lol.
I love the movie The Great Escape!
(I don’t think it has much to do with Christmas, though.)
Christmas Chronicles 1 & 2 – Grandson has worn us out with these two — Watchable the FIRST time
The Wizard of Oz is not really a Christmas movie but always nice to watch around this time of year.
Id recommend Deck the halls. Buddy is somewhat of a flashaholic lol
Christmas Vacation -A perennial favorite of my entire extended family.
Home Alone - Has really moved into the mix with my kids getting old enough to love it too. John William’s Christmas score of the movie is straight effin holiday bangers all the way through. Its wild that John Hughes knocked out back to back Christmas classics one year after another.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas Cartoon - Gotta watch this one every year and hear You’re a mean one Mr Grinch.
Not a movie, but since you mentioned Mr Grinch, here is the best rock version on earth.
These guys are from PA to boot.;
A Christmas Story
Stalag 17
The family are Christmas Vacation fans so watching it with them puts it at the top of the list.
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is one I need to watch someday according to my brother. It is usually ranked as one of the worse movies of all time. FWIW- It was the first movie appearance of Mrs. Claus.
It is truly bad. But worth watching at least once.
It’s like the “Plan 9 From Outer Space” of bad movies.
Incidentally, it also stars(?) an extremely young Pia Zadora as one of the gremlins. That should be an indication of how bad it is.
If you like the TWILIGHT ZONE and Rod Serling, his take on A CHRISTMAS CAROL will knock your socks off. Filmed in 1964 and titled CAROL FOR ANOTHER CHRISTMAS, this 90 minute production has a stellar cast of Sterling Hayden, Peter Sellers, Robert Shaw, Eva Marie Saint and more. Never had heard of it until yesterday and found it on Youtube this morning. May not appeal to everyone but if you’re a Rod Serling fan and haven’t seen this, you should.
This may be the only twilight zone I have never seen. Will check it out.
I don’t think this is actually a Twilight Zone but rather a separate movie production. Sure has all the affects of a TZ though.
