From the link I found ebay.de/itm/352262978658? I’d say the are individually etched as the patern nooks different.
From the close up I’m not sure though, maybe it’s laser etched, the outside line is looking drawn, not eaten away.
I’d say the clip is Ti as well, aluminum is not stress forgiving enough to make a clip of it. They just created too many pits on the much smaller surface to catch some of the anodisation.
When I find a good laquer that protects the Ti from the hydrofluoric acid in the Whink Rust and Stain Remover then I could maybe use a scrap piece and see how it works. For anodizing that stuff works amazingly well, this week I’ll try to make a 4 color sunset on a Starbenza clone. Too bad it mine has a steel cip 
Now I have some knives in the mail, but this one stays on the list. I really like the sharp blade grind lines on the last picture
