Ganzo G711 was delivered today. Ganzo G712 scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I suspect the shipper uses a filo system as the G712 was ordered one day before the G711. Regardless, 16 and 18 days from Gearbest is pretty good.

Ganzo 738 and Cima 1

It’s the usual photoshop story…
These folders come with frame-lock and they’re also one of the cheapest folders with ball bearings. Have a look at my review.

Got my China Rat today. Pretty sweet. If it is truly Aus-8, it is a better deal than a real one too (paid $10.50 I think). Seems a little heavier, but the scales appear to be G10, not nylon like on the genuines (most).
I’ll have to dig my other rats out and take some side by side pictures.

I’ve been wanting one of these for awhile.

That is pretty. I hate the limited edition / first production markings BM puts on their blades though for some reason. It just bothers me, lol. There have been many knives I see on bladeforums market that I am like :open_mouth:  …. then scroll down and go :person_facepalming: :expressionless: :frowning: when I see the blade markings.
Every time I see that knife though, I have to stare at it and decide if the blade is truly gold…. or if it is just camera lighting lol

Cool!
Where did you find it for this looow price?? Some links please
I can not decide between this china Rat copy or a Ganzo G727 (now 12$ on Gearbest)!!!
(please don’t say both :innocent: )

eBay, search “lemon green” Rat. They usually start at $0.01, just be patient and watch several.

Nice one! :+1:
What are your first impressions? Mine is still in transit…

Very well built as always from Ganzo, perhaps little to heavy 165g. Will buy the granite-wash one too. :+1:

I just ordered this one in full steel version thanks to this post. :+1:
Even is the steel is bad its still crazy for the price.

The Ganzo G712 was finally delivered today after two changes to the delivery date by FedEx SmartPost. Thanks to their stupid routing it went from Cincinnati, OH to Indianapolis, IN to Grove City, OH to Clinton, PA to Cleveland, OH. 4 days from order to arrival in Cincinnatti and 17 days from Cincinnati to Cleveland. :expressionless:

The G711 I received last week had a decent edge but the G712 is ‘shave your arm’ sharp. The G711’s lock is reasonably secure but could be improved by more engagement with the blade. The G712 appears to be much more secure with the mechanism making good contact with the blade and an audible click as it locks.

Olamic Wayfarer 247 in full PVD black wash.

@jealous57 - Like this one any better? I took it up another notch.

You will be amazed at how good that knife is, I cannot find any fault with it! Mine is the full steel version with a blade that was advertised as 440 steel, from its edge retention I am prepared to believe that. My review

@jhalb very nice indeed!

I gotta knock the China rat down a couple pegs… I went to switch the clip to tip up carry… unfortunately this is not possible, while all the other holes are there… none are tapped :rage:
I’d still recommend it for a tip down fan.
I disassembled it to remove a wad of glue from one of the holes, thinking that is why I couldn’t get the clip tightened. I also find it a little odd that the scales are glued to the liners.
The blade rides on bronze washers.

Same here, my RATS are not tapped either. I'm going to have to buy a tap. I don't understand how they can make the time to drill all the holes and then leave them unusable...

I used to have the full steel version but I gifted it to a friend of mine. The all steel stone washed handle looked really cool.
As I wanted to try something new I ordered the G10 version as the next one.

Thanks isti, I might just pick one up.
