I believe it’s called a hybrid reflector. The OP gives a smooth flood and you still get some throw from the SMO.
Edit: Is the reflector aluminum or plastic?

Three packages today, Fasttech (lots o DIY parts), Tmart (HD2010, MXDL, and a really well made AAA mini-thrower host), and eBay (silicone wire).
Fasttech:
Tmart, my HD2010 is finally here; nice colour, a good thrower . Seriously, I measured over 6A to the emitter! Now I’m wondering if the Fandyfire one might be slightly better quality though…
eBay: Fairly cheap silicone wire; fast shipper, ordered Jan 8, 10 days! $8 for eight meters 20ga.
The AAA host is surprisingly well made:
Runs on 2AAA or 10440 (1AAA is not very bright)
Good O-Rings everywhere they should be, decent threads, nice machining and ano.
The driver is OK, but the LED has to go.
It’s a hollow pill, but no biggie since there’ will not be much heat. I just stripped off the emitter, flipped over the star and Fujik’d my XP-G star right on there.
Draws about 1A on 2AAA, 1.2A on 10440. This little thing throws surprisingly well. I can see over 100 yards, not super bright, but I can see.
For $5 it was fun to turn it into something a little useful.

And a solar battery/charger. Look at the big gift box, but sadly nobody thought of polstering the solar panel, dumb now there is a scratch on it. Underneath in the big space of the Box there is just a short USB cable and some adapters…really dumb.

5 modes with memory, I measured ~2.3A on high, not bad at all. Although I am tempted to mod it with a 2.8A or a 3A driver... what do you think?

Those windproof matches are awesome... I ordered four more packs after getting the first one and I've already given most of those away. Very nice add-on order item!
I have put them directly away in a separate bag, because they stink.
The case stinks and the matches stink even more, bah!
But hell yeah if they are ignited they are on, I have thrown some in the snow and they melt there way down. Even the color look like china poison…
Not sure what for I ordered them, but the mustaches seem to not so indispensable too. :bigsmile:
I got two xm-l2 nw’s, two 3.04a drivers, ten 380ma 7135’s and two replacement 4a drivers, hope these work as I’m hoping to hook one up to one of the xm-l2’s in a c8 upgrade which should make on hell of a nice light. 8)
