What you got today

I have a Nitecore MT2A for my EDC bag, great little light. I used to have a Fenix E01 as well but gave it away and now have a tiny LEDLenser K1L on my keyring.

You didn’t know about Old Lumens HD2010 group buy or???

P.S. Today I expected my new Avid 180mm rotors but the did not come :frowning:

Actually, received this a couple of days ago:

4.3" Android tablet, Factory Refurb via Newegg:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834756007

I had an email promo code for an additional 10% off so it was only $17.99 shipped; I couldn't resist for that price. Purchased to use primarily as a mp3 player. So far:

  1. Bezel is a bit big for the size of the screen. Slightly too large to hold and manipulate with one hand comfortably. My older 4.3" Android tablet was more convenient in this regard. Design also makes side power/volume buttons a bit awkward to use one-handed.
  2. Design is very pocketable.
  3. Very limited RAM; not an issue in my application.
  4. Off-brand CPU has limited app compatibility. Tablet came pre-loaded with Angry Birds and a few other apps I removed immediately. Several games I've attempted to load will not work properly. Jetpack Joyride runs, but chugs a bit. My "Music Folder Player" app I use for .mp3 playback works great however.
  5. Screen is low res but much crisper/brighter than my older 4.3" tablet.
  6. Cameral is low-res junk of course.
  7. Audio output seems stronger than on my older tablet. I'm not using it in any hi-fi application; it's hooked up through a cigarette-lighter FM transmitter so I can listen in my truck that doesn't have a line-in jack on the stereo.
  8. Has Micro-SD slot for storing videos/music.
  9. Video playback seems good; my SD Futurama episodes look great when played on the device.
  10. Has mini/micro (not sure which) HDMI output. I haven't tested this feature though; I don't expect to be hooking this up to my TV set...

For the price I paid, I'm satisfied so far...

These were bought thinking they were off brand items but when I’ve got them they are a Buck Smidgen and a CRKT Stiff K.I.S.S. by Ed Halligan. for the price, about $8 for the two, I’m well pleased. If they are genuine then I’m even more pleased, not likely though.
Then there was this from DX -

A real surprise... back in February, I ordered a 20w LED COB board and driver from DX. It shipped in early March (per DX) and finally showed up today!

Well yes and no. I did not know when I ordered the one I got but found OL's soon enough to cancel the order. I probably should have but really wanted grey so I stuck with it.

Got a Crelant CH10 for $29.99 from this link https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/25807#comment-572894 , and a Casio MRW200H-1BV for $17.09

Lots of LED washer-spacer-gaskets-insulators, whatever their called. Found them here.

Got fresh arctic silver and arctic alumina epoxy to replenish my supply.

Also received some Nichia 219Bs.

Centering rings, that’s what they are for…

That Crelant looks pretty nice.

Looks like im spending money now on that one !

Got two C10s modded by 18sixfifty.

Unfortunately there were some issues with them so I had to spend some time to fix them.

I’ve posted some more photos here:

No scorpions, but found little caterpillars that fluoresce green and some stone that fluoresces bright orange.
Fascinating.

Keep posting pictures and you'll talk me into it and into trouble.

I just got my shipment of MINI's, as reviewed here by Sirius9:

https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/25626

I ordered four via this ebay seller; two each of the cool white and warm white variety. Now $2.35 shipped, was higher when I bought mine (I paid $2.93/each). I do prefer the warm tint for normal use, not sure if I'll be using the Cool ones as much. Also, they seem to get quite hot when running on high-mode for an extended time. Not sure how hot, I'm planning to check the temp when I get some time to play with them more...

I do like the low-mode and the ramping function. I bought these to use with my ENB triple-18650 power bank but unfortunately, the lowest low mode seems to draw so little current that the ENB shuts off completely after a few seconds of runtime. On high, it seems to work well though, and I think this would make a nice long-runtime camping/outdoor lantern for times when a lot of light isn't needed.

I've just ordered one of these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271405911472

...to use with the ENB bank to allow two of the Mini-type lights to be used at once for double-light or to allow 360-degree lighting with one mini facing each direction...

Looks like the strict packaging regulation for shipping batteries are over, ordered 13 days ago from Banggood, I got the batteries today, packed like this  :

Got a Nitecore i2 today from Fasttech that I will gift to a friend I fish with.
Gave him an XinTD C8 with holster and a pair of protected NCR18650B cells in February when we went ice fishing and had to long-lend him one of my old Triton chargers at the time.
