What's a good light for clenching in teeth/mouth?

One of my front teeth is chipped which makes an excellent small-light holder  If my Tank007 E09 wasn’t on a heavily loaded keyring tooth-time would probably be much longer although it’s been enough so far.

The clear plastic tubing softens well when boiled in water. Pick up with closed neede-nosed pliers from inside then open them to stretch it, then slide it on the gadget you’re working on  Several sizes available at the Home Depot store where it’s sold by the foot.

Same idea, but the one I’m thinking of was flat where you bit down on
I ran mine over with a forklift and broke it but the maglight survived if I remember right

surprised no one has said it yet - lumintop tool, 1xAAA, nice quality, small , 3 levels, $10

The new Manker LAD, it’s flat like a Kazoo, very easy to hold in mouth and light weight.

Anything with rubber or vinyl wrapped sides, and any smaller light like that DO NOT use Lithium Ion or Lithium cells. only AA NiMH or Alcs.

The only light that I have ever done a bite hold on was my zebralight, maybe 3-4 times in the 9+ years I have owned these…. the one on the right. The little metal clip is a little more comfy between the teeth than a typeIII anodize.

I bet someone could 3D print a pretty comfortable mouthpiece. It would have to be made specific to the light though

I’ve used the BLF X5, A6, the utool ut01 and a manker A01. The A01 works well, there are not a lot of ridges to get all sloppy with spit and it is very easy to aim. I just don’t carry it often enough to claim it is the one I use most.

I used the UT01 several times in the last week while running a table saw with almost enough light. The light in my mouth gave me enough light to really see. It is a little big for extended use though. The others are simply a matter of being the tool that was available rather than the right one for the job.

I’ve seen a lot of gold teeth, why not a high CRI tooth? Smile! It’ll brighten your day.

Wizard’s clip works fine.

Fix a small split ring on a AAA light.
Bite on the split ring, you can even close you lips, while the lamp is outside of your mouth.
If you bite verry short there is nearly no wiggle.

or you add a pice of cord and bite on that

Dont bite on a Nitecore TIP or a Nitecore Tube, fix it with a small rubberband to one arm of your glasses

LMAOOO! now thats some funny stuff right dere !

ORAL LIGHT might be a new trend, listen Chinese manufacturers !
We don’t need hand lights, nor head lights, neither wrist lights… We need ORAL LIGHTS !
A light that can be biten, a light that won’t harm your teeth, or your gums if you don’t have teeth !
I could see that as a cool trend, really

I learned two things from making this thread:

1. The Definitive Answer to my question, “What’s a good light for clenching in teeth/mouth?” is: Any AAA light with heatshrink or rubber wrap.

2. This thread was not near as weird as I was expecting, apparently you guys spend just as much time as I do, debating the merits of which flashlights to stick in your mouths.

The colored lumintop worms come with that rubber gitd silicone ring, that might work for your needs
