Re: David57strat response
Beautiful response. Thank-you.
Clearly, my understanding of the potential options and nuances involved in the charger
decision is limited. Here below are answers to the questions which you have raised:
My prior flashlight purchases have been given away as gifts and am presently
without decent lights. My plan is to purchase three flashlights via the group
buy options in this forum. These lights will use 14500 and 18650 batteries and
a third will use AA batteries. NiHm batteries have not yet been considered.
Charging mobile devises, such as smartphone is nice, but not mandatory.
Charging batteries from the car is nice and is preferred, but not mandatory.
As yet, batteries have not been purchased. We can assume the batteries which
will be purchased will be fresh. But may need an initial charge. If you have a
recommendation for a pair (or two pairs) of 18650’s, that would be great!
Forgive me if this request lacks adequent context. It may help to know that my
intent is purely practical, as oppose to moding or hacking. Outdoors, camping,
long driving trips and for indoor repairs.
My iniitial estimate is that from $20-$40 should be sufficient for the charger, if you
feel otherwise - am open to increasing the investment.
There is no rush on any purchase. Am enjoying the learning curve and admire
reading about the modding and engineering endevours which are on display
in this forum.
Your generous contribution is much appreciated,
johnnie
