I want a light with more output than a single XML drop-in in a P60 host, so I’m currently looking at various triple XML lights. Looked at 26650 types for the safety of a single cell, but I like the form factor of side-by-side 18650 lights better.
Prefer to keep the cost under $80 US, and the farther under the better. I’d like to be able to run on high for 8-10min, have significant output on the next level down (single P60 XML output maybe) and have low for run time. The FF, build quality and UI of the Blackshadow Darth is attractive but I wish high was driven more like the Sky Ray King though. An additional Turbo mode would have been great.
Fairly new to Li-ion cells, and am currently using an XTAR WP2 II and XTAR 18700 2600mah protected cells. What do I need to know when running multiple Li-ion’s other than using cells of the same brand/capacity and making sure the voltages match when they come off the charger? Are the lights running cells in parallel a touch safer and are my batteries suited for 3x XML lights?
Also sort of torn on NW color vs max output which seems to be a CW U2 bin at the moment. Any suggestions on specific lights is greatly appreciated as is advice for multi emitter/battery lights in general.
for the money I would go for a skyray king, it can be had for less than $50 (currently $42 i believe on wallbuys promo WallBuys.com is for sale | HugeDomains)
It says 3000k color temp but its probably the T6 3C neutral as I dont think they made a warm white version. I am not sure if this is actually a skyray king or the fandyfire version. maybe another member here can comment on this.
You might want to check to see if anyone has the wallbuys version of this light before ordering.
Or you could just get one from ric at CNQualitygoods
it runs on 4x 18650 in parallel which is very safe imo
edit: I would get the neutral white version if possible, but thats just the tint I prefer as it makes things look more real and it is nicer on the eyes

I highly doubt they have a Warmwhite (3000k) or NW version at wallbuys. Probably spelling/copy mistake. It would not be the first time on that page to see some wrong specs…
Price is almost the same. And easier to order with less hassle. Might get faster shipping from manafont too…

Either way they have it in black, and you are sure to get U2 leds (higher output compared to T6), or you get NW for a little extra…
Gold/Yellow are one and the same for the King. Really only 2 colors so far - black or gold. As for tints, I’ve only seen CW and NW. Never a WW version AFAIK.
I agree about the Black Shadow gunmetal gray. Best color ever used on a flashlight. 8)

I’ve seen some Kings described as Desert Yellow so thought there were two versions of the Gold ones. Looks different in the pics but maybe that’s just the camera.
There are some thread here on wallbuys… They are still new, so hard to say… But they are far from perfect based on what I have read. Im still considering to buy a light from them though.
As mentioned, I would just buy from cnqualitygoods if you have the cash… Much higher chance that you will get a top quality product…
If NW (or U2) leds, black color, or that little extra output is not that important, the one clone/mimic from manafont would probably be my 2nd choice… But you also risk lower build quality with the mimic/clone product…
