I remember liking Limitless, but I didn’t write movie reviews back when I saw it. ![]()
The Great Muppet Caper.
My wife hadn’t seen this all-time classic. Unfortunately, she fell asleep about an hour in and missed the finale. Pity.
I watched WarGames (1983)
Wow, I did not remember it to be this good… It has to be some 30-odd years since I watched it last time.
My teenage kids liked it too, which is weird TBH.
I don´t watch movies nowadays anymore. It´s like a handful AT MOST per year… I don´t enjoy violence at all anymore and special effects look different when everything is rendered ![]()
I saw WarGames…
I liked it when I was a kid.
I don’t remember if I’ve seen it since then, though. ![]()
I just watched it a couple of weeks ago. I too had seen it years ago. It was a good watch. I liked all of the old computer stuff… From the era when I started my addiction to computers and tech. Anyway, I would say it is worth a watch.
It’s not that weird, I was a teenager when I first watched it and I enjoyed it too.
It’s odd but at this point I notice the absence of CGI more than CGI itself. Everything just feels more tangible when you watch older movies.
I saw City Hunter (1993).
This movie is between okay and bad.
I saw a dubbed version.
The voice acting is decent.
The plot is okay.
The script is incredibly stupid.
The music and sound effects are annoying.
The vast majority of the many action sequences are subpar.
There are two longer fight sequences near the end that are good.
A lot of the movie is cartoonish (in a bad way).
One of the good fight sequences is like a live action cosplay of Street Fighter.
Aside from the two good fight sequences, the movie is mostly worthless.
At least the movie isn’t boring.
The 4K UHD of Wargames is amazing in terms of video quality. Grabbed it last year, and my jaw was on the floor.
Very… very…
beautiful
sad
heart touching
movie
9/10
Wow. If anything, that disjoint confusing trailer pushed me to avoiding that flick at all cost.
Two guys with bad haircuts go on some road trip with a chick they picked up somewhere?
I imagine the movie itself was better? I hope? Okay, I’m gonna hafta look it up…
I saw Wake Up Dead Man (2025).
[Recommended]
This movie is excellent.
This is the third Knives Out movie.
The acting is top-notch.
The music is superb.
The movie is kinda long, and it drags a little in the third act, but I enjoyed it immensely.
The first movie in the series might be the best, and the second movie in the series is not very good compared to parts 1 & 3.
The plot of this third movie is quite clever, but I’m a sucker for a good murder mystery.
My movie watchlist from the past 2 weeks… I like putting on old (bad) films.
Mars Attacks! is great, though.
Was entertaining, but first was much better.
It had a few weak points, for example red threads laying “next to hip”, but body has been taken out before police arrived and examine the scene.
Mike
The Bohemian Girl 1936 Very strange it is usually Stan that gets Oliver in a fine mess. But this time it was Darla Hood. That little rascal.
I saw Marathon Man (1976).
This movie is good.
The acting is excellent.
Some of the music is great, and some of it is quite annoying.
The first half (or so) is confusing, and sometimes a bit slow, and it seems like a bunch of unrelated scenes.
Eventually, it all comes together, and the movie becomes a rather nice thriller.
If the music were less annoying, and if the plot made more sense (especially early on), this would be a much better movie.
I saw Spinal Tap II: The End Continues (2025).
This movie is between okay and bad.
I like a good number of Rob Reiner films, including the original Spinal Tap movie, but I did not enjoy this sequel.
The acting is merely okay.
Most of the movie is not entertaining, and some of it is annoying.
The film has a number of high profile cameos, which is impressive.
Some of the music is good, but I think that most of the best music in the movie is not new.
There are very few laughs in this movie.
Another sequel (which has already been filmed) is slated for a 2026 release, Spinal Tap at Stonehenge: The Final Finale.
I’ll probably watch it, though I won’t be expecting much.
Much enjoyed it, a perfect whodunnit film for the Christmas hols, Benoir Blanc is my new Miss Marple or Poirot.
I’m enjoying new season at Netflix.
I’ve read all the Sapkowski’s books and obviously The Witcher sage is its brightest masterpiece. Each tome of Witcher I’ve read 4-7 times and I just love it.
Certainly the books are much better than the movie but nothing can stop me from watching it as well.
If you liked Lord of the Rings, you’ll like it too.
