I really like what you’ve done with this cheap flashlight! I always value DIY projects, as the maker puts in some part of his (her) personality.

In that spirit, I prefer the special kind of your random choosing the lucky guy method (the barking dog part was really funny but the daughter choosing method is something I’d prefer in your place) instead of usual computerized random.org method. I really enjoyed your post, it shows a man with great spirit! Well done WillyD! :+1: :exclamation:

I’ll admit, when I first opened the thread, I thought “meh, no thanks.” But as I continued to read (and see pics), I definitely got sucked in. Great job on the stripping & polishing! And to top it all off with an illuminated tailcap? Very nice.

PS - I know there are various methods, but may I ask how you went about doing the stripping and polishing? Might have to try my hand at that.
