Done, cache refreshed too, still no charts. I’ve opened this review few times in past few weeks, always seen lots of (really nice) pictures, but never seen the charts. Weird to me because I saw you send charts on your other reviews. I guess they may be somewhere in the gaps there ? Imgur: The magic of the Internet
EDIT : OK I had to wait like 10 minutes AFTER all the others images loaded. I see them now
really strange situation, glad you pointed at it.
i will keep this in mind and mention in next review in case someone doesn`t see chart. problem is that i upload chart at pic host of website where i post my original,non-english version of review. and sometimes this site is DDoSed. so it is down for several minutes. but it is alive since like 2003. so i can rely on it. and other pic hosts that i used before, finally died. lots of my 4-5 years ago reviews are with no pics now.
Yes I understand, better to keep a long time reliable host even if it goes down few minutes.
When I first read this review, as I saw all others images I did not paid attention to missing charts when reading the text about runtimes. Now I’ll remember you always post charts in your reviews, and I will keep the post open if I don’t see it.
BTW those non-seen charts did not prevent me to order TS32 after reading your review…
I received a 519A version a week ago. I don’t know if I must thank you or not ![]()
that is strange, as all other pics besides GIFs are from the same hosting. i have no idea why it took that long for charts to appear.
btw, could u please give feedback about TS32? if you had enough time to use and make a conclusion
I have not enough space where I am to appreciate such a bright light, and I am in a big city. TS22 is already plentiful of light in my garden… So I’ve used TS32 only a few minutes. Maybe I will have more space and countryside in coming months, then I will have big use of my lights.
Moreover I’m very new to this hobby even if a read and watch a lot, and I have only Wurkkos models for now.
But I will give my noob opinion after a few real nights of use.
Which batteries are recommended?
any 21700 will go, i guess. even liitokala
Samsung INR21700-48X 4650mAh - 9.6A
This should be good then amperage wise?
yeah, 4 cells should be way more then enough
of course 40t would perform better in high levels when use at deep discharge
but these ones are also good
I red your review right after waking up this morning, then I saw 12 Nichia 519a (!) and thought I was still dreaming
.
Do you happen to have CCT of the 519a, or any Duv info please? Thanks for the great review; comparison pictures very well done.
Wurkkos surely out to make waves and definitely on a roll. I like their effort.
This is the only place where I could find the 519a version, and it’s “out of stock.” https://wurkkos.com/products/wurkkos-ts32-usb-c-rechargeable-21700-flashlight-powerful-12cree-xpl2-1-luminus-sft40-led-15000lm-light-with-handle?VariantsId=10586
I don’t know if anyone else has this many 519a’s in a light (??), and am finding it difficult to resist. This might just be the most powerful-highest Ra/R9 flood light on the market?
Has anyone gotten one of these wet?
I got one yesterday and ran it under cold water in the sink for a few minutes trying to see if it would sustain a higher brightness level with water cooling it. It freaked out and when I opened it up I was able to pour water out of the battery compartment. Can’t really tell where it got in, but the seals were all in place and undamaged, the USB socket plug was in place, and the head and tail were screwed down tight.
The bottom of the battery compartment was wet, the inside of the USB-C socket under the rubber seal was wet, the circuit board in the head was very wet, and the inside of the lens fogged up. Considering it turned itself on spontaneously and stopped responding to button presses, I don’t think it’s even safe to try to use it anymore unless I can be completely sure there’s no residual water inside.
Geez, that’s no good at all! I’m sure they’ll take care of you with a replacement, hopefully from quick amazon stock instead of a long wait.
I don’t have this light but looking at pics and assuming that the body o-rings are a proper fit (they look a little skinny for this application, but), then my first suspicion would be the switch cover plate. I don’t know what’s beneath it but with two buttons and screws only at the corner, it looks like a good place for water to enter if they didn’t design it with waterproofness in mind (my HD15 emitter cover plate looks similar and having had that apart I don’t fully trust it for submersion but I’m not going to test that either).
Unless something silly happened like the tripod threads were cut too deep and penetrated into the host cavity.
Since the cell wrappers are opaque, you can’t easily see whether the battery can is rusting, so although the cells are probably fine it wouldn’t be a bad idea to peel and rewrap them, imo. It’s possible that the driver is ok, too…high probability that something shorted, though. Could dunk it in alcohol, swab away any obvious corrosion, and let it dry thoroughly, see how it goes. Check the emitter joints, too, and hopefully nothing worked its way under the mcpcb & thermal paste. If it runs, just run it at a low level for awhile with the lens off and reflector in a safe covered place…any water vapor will have someplace to go and not foul the reflector. If you’re uncomfortable firing it up that way, maybe put it in a toaster oven or regular oven for an hour or so at the lowest heat setting with the door propped open a little (not the batteries of course).
I got called out in one of the fireflies threads and once before about our water resistance ratings. I know there are only a couple places that actually test their lights, and it’s all voluntary and using suggestions from the standards unless you ship it to a third party tester, but folks that just slap on IP68 all the time…it’s just irritating. Lots of times the lights we get do not have what would be considered proper o-ring sizing or fit, and then all the other places in a flashlight that can let in water. Usually good enough that they’re just splash resistant and reasonably dustproof…clearly yours here is not, though. I’m sure that was a huge disappointment.
Nice review, thanks for share.
