X60vn in hand and tested - its a true monster!

Wow, this light is really monster light. Throwing 6400 lumens for such long distance is incredible.

They called the cops on you for using a flashlight…

IN TEXAS?!?

Dear god, here in Boston I would be talking to the bomb squad like my name was Tsarnaev.

the main comparison light i would like to see is vs the tom e super shocker please

+1

I don’t have 18650 cells as I am very nervous running those things. I’d imagine I’d crap my pants if I hold one of those 6x18650 cell lights when they are on turbo.

The cost is high too but I guess if you have a real need for this kind of monster (Maybe SAR, living in huge farms, forests etc, other uses), that $365 would be a reasonable and useful investment.

Now for only taking beamshots or shelf queens, this has little interest unless someone is kind of a ‘collector’

Just my 0.02 lumens!

I tried to do some beamshots last night, but no luck. It had rained all afternoon and had cleared up - but fog showed up in the evening really bad. The lights were fun to play with in the fog, but it would suck for comparison beamshots. I will try again Christmas Eve if I can.
The plan is a multi-emitter shoot out. Between brother and I we have - x60vn, x40vn, BTU-5.5A dedome, BTU-5A domed, BTU-stock driver, M6-3500 lumens, King-stock, King-2600 lumens, Kung-3100 lumens, SP03-dedomed, TK75-stock, Terminator-3500 lumens, TRJ12-beast driver. That’s the planned lineup as soon as I can and weather permits.
As for using the lights, shelf queens, etc. - I rarely NEED to use any of these big lights. I do use a variety of smaller EDC’s on a regular bases. But none of these big lights ever see true flashlight duty.
However, none of my flashlights are shelf queens. They might be not used for work, but they are all used regularly for entertainment and as a cool hobby. For me that is their intended use when purchasing them. I think its obvious from how much I’m on here doing lumen or lux measurements, doing beamshots & etc., that I use all my lights. I’ve actually made 1300 mile round trips for the sole reason of having a cool place to try them out. Kinda nutty, possibly wasteful to some, but I enjoy doing it.
And I do actually have a pretty limited budget. It might not sound like it from some lights I’m regularly buying. But I would rather spend my spare cash on interesting lights, rather than partying, going out to dinner regularly, or other typical expenditures.
I pay my bills, take care of my family, and plan for the future. Anything else left tends to go for my “flashlight fund”.
Anyway, for law enforcement, S & R, etc., I feel this light would make an excellent choice. You get the performance (power and runtime) of high end HID’s, get the instant LED on and off, all at a very reasonable cost when all is considered. Well over 6000 lumens and 1300 meters throw, all regulated and running on 6 included 18650 protected cells, at just over $300 isn’t really a bad deal. Especially for agency’s, police departments, etc.

I’d love to see beamshots of that lineup.

Shelf queens or not, I love seeing the crazy results people can get out of these higher dollar lights.

$400 expenditure on a hobby every 2-3 months is still cheaper than a lot of other hobbies.

@rdrfronty: My thoughts were directed only at myself  I’m reasoning with myself here bro!

I understand and no offense was taken. I think sometimes I make these posts like above to try to convince myself I have a good reasons for blowing a wad of dough.
I’m divorced now (no, not because this hobby), so I gotta get my jollies some how

Get any beamshots?

I’ve done one quick set sofar with other multi led lights. The thread -

Thanks. Nice set of lights and beamshot pics in that thread.
