Sounds like a great simple build. I haven't had a tir FL yet, but I have this one the way, only $3.80 promotion price in the Wallbuys sale. I'm thinking it will work well with those 18500 pulls. Has anyone gotten one yet?

The flat top Panasonic NCR18650B that I purchased from Cobb Carpet fit perfectly. I believe these actually have some protection if not a PCB.
