XM-L T6 NW 1x18650 two group 3/5 mode Xiaozhi flashlight

Just received this light today! Haterade shipped 'er out on Saturday - pretty darn fast shipping! I'm at work and haven't lit 'er up yet, but the build quality is really really good. It's fatter than I expected. Will be comparing it to my UF2100 (for size). Got the clip coming from FastTech to add to it (and I might have added about $20 worth of extras along with the clip :) ).

Thanks Haterade!

yes gary please compare it with the 2100, i hope you have the e1320 so its a better comparison. do you have the hd 2011 or s2/3 to compare also?

No S2 or S3, just an E1320 3.5A UF2100.

Ok just did a quick comparison to my UF2100 with OP reflector. This one is an all around nicer quality. Tint is much much nicer. The UF2100 looks purple next to it. However the OP reflector gives the UF2100 a much nicer smoother beam. This one has a definite hotspot with a little throw to it, whereas the UF2100's beam is spread out a lot more with a hardly noticeable transition to spill.

Size-wise its not much fatter than the UF2100 (barely at all). It is quite a bit shorter.

Is there an OP reflector available for this one? I'll probably at least spray it with clear coat.

My XIAOZHI has an OP reflector .

I think read in another thread that the XIAO- has an 18 degree reflector while the S3 has a 20 degree ...?

Hey Garry, I have the Xiaozhi ordered too, and that SS clip from FT (three of em actually; I fell in love with deep pocket clips). Looking forward to getting this one in to play with.

I have 2 Xiaozhi from back around Christmas. They have the feel of a real quality and durable light. I have had mine apart several times and do like how well its made. Glad you snaged that one up garry or I might have been broke again if someone else didn’t jump on it.
One thing I especially liked is the driver, it’s a 8-amc7135 with the attiny13a that can be reprogrammed with tido’s or dr.jones code to give you what ever modes you like. Ever since I got a Olight i3s from the 50% sale at wallbuys with the moonlight mode. I have been hooked on including a moonlight mode on everything I can reprogram. Mine draws about 4ma in moonlight mode. That mode could last for days even if the battery was almost drained.
BTW mine also has a OP reflector.

hey gary, which one was brighter, floodier, and more throw?

The UF2100 is brighter because it's driven at 3.5A and is cool white. It's also floodier with the OP reflector. The Xiaozhi throws a little further with the SMO.

Well what do you know! I should have paid more attention. This Xiaozhi does have an OP reflector! Puzzled now why the difference between the beam patterns with the UF2100 I took a closer look. The reflectors look nearly identical in OP-ness (if that's a word) and width/depth, however the UF2100 has a larger hole in the bottom and the LED dome is projected into the reflector a little further.

I'd like to find spare reflectors to experiment with now.
